Chapter 23~ Katie's Day With Nick

Nick's POV

I woke up this morning to my alarm going off, as much as I wanted to hit snooze and go back to sleep I knew I couldn't because I wanted to go work out and shower before I took Katie out for the day. I got up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes and I got dressed to go work out at the gym that is right down the street from my apartment building. 

Soon my workout was over and I was eatting breakfast then showering before I went over to Demi's. My morning has passed super quickly already, I guess I'm just exicted to learn about Katie. After I finished my shower the clock read 8am, I figured to stop over to Starbucks and pick up five drinks. 3 Iced Coffees and 2 Iced Teas. I left my house and texted Katie that I was heading over in a few minutes, I put my phone in the center part of my car because you know its not safe to text and drive. I soon arrived at starbucks, before exiting my car I checked to see if I had a reply from Katie, which no I didn't, she hasn't read the text yet either. Hopefully she wakes up before I get there. 

I order the coffees and teas, once my order came up I instagramed a picture of it. Captioning it "Coffee is for grown ups while tea is for the teens, heading over to pick up my best friends favorite daughter and spend the day with her." . As I carried the drinks out to my car, my phone buzzed to life with texts from Selena and Demi and Maddie. Okay so those 3 were up already without a doubt. I opened the texts and replied before I  made car roar to life. 

From Selena
Thanks Nick! Great way to start the morning off!! I love you friend.

To Selena
No problem Sel! I love you to friend.

From Demi
She is my only daughter Jonas, therefore she is my favorite lol. Thanks for the coffee, you are such a great friend for getting us coffee and teas.

Lol I know she's your only daughter Dem! But no problem, I'm heading over now!

With that I was off to Demi's house. Hopefully someone...namely Demi would wak Katie up but I got there. Soon I arrived at Demi's house, as I walked up the walkway to he door the front door was flung open and three beautiful young ladies were standing there, eyeing the starbucks. I quickly went inside and handed them, their drinks while I put Katie's into the fridge. We all sat around the table drinking our drinks and making small talk before I realized that it was now 11am. 

"Hey Demi, Is Katie up yet?" I asked
"Ha! Katie up yet? Nope, I was waiting for you to get here before I woke her up, I have a plan"  is all Demi replied with. 

Demi told us the plan and we all followed her up to Katie's room. The plan was pretty basic, we would just stand there on the mattress (no shoes of course) and watch Katie sleep until she woke up from feeling the stare. The order was Me then Demi, then Selena and last but not least Maddie. Our plan is now in action. We sat there and just stared like creeps. Demi took a few pictures of us just standing there.

Soon five minutes passed, which turned into 10 before Selena finally spoke up. 

"How much longer do you think until she wakes up?"  was all she asked
"Not much longer"  came Demi's reply

Turned out Demi was right because soon Katie turned over to face us and she rose her hand to rub sleep from her eyes. Soon her eyes fluttered open. She smiled at us and told us that we are all creeps for watching her sleep. Then we all busted out laughing.

Selena, Maddie and I walked out of the room while Demi stayed behind and made sure that Katie woke up and got ready. 

Katie's POV

Have you ever woken up to find people watching you? If you have, its creepy right? If you haven't you are so lucky. This morning I had the displeasure of waking up to not only my mom stareing at me, no she was joined by Nick, my Aunt Selena and Maddie. They are creeps...creeps I tell ya. 

Aunt Selena, Nick and Maddie left my room as my mom stuck around. To them she claimed is was to make sure that I was up and getting ready for my day with Nick..but that was only because Nick was there and he doesn't know about my issues...yet. I on the other hand knew the real reason, she was making sure my body was filling out once more and there weren't any new cuts and to check how my scars were healing. For a while there it was daily checks but now its weekly checks. I don't mind because I havn't touched a blade since my last breakdown. I even make Demi sit in my bathroom while I shave my legs because while she trusts me, I don't trust myself. But I guess with time that will come. 

Alright Momma, lets get this check over with. I strip down into nothing but my sports bra and underwear so Demi can examine my body. Yes, before you ask, I sleep in a sports bra. I don't like to sleep in shirts, I get way to hot. 

Anyways Demi checked me over and let me go shower. After I was showered  she get me another check over and allowed me to get dressed. Soon I was downstairs and ready to go out and have fun with the one, the only Nick Jonas. I walked into the kitchean and sat on a bar stool across from him.

"Alright Nick, I'm ready lets get a move on it"  I said to him
"Finally! I got you a starbucks, its in the fridge."  Nick told
"You just keep getting better Jonas, I like you so far"  I told him
"Alright, lets go. Katie wait by the door, I have to talk to Demi real fast"  Nick said to me

I grabbed my starbucks and did as Nick asked me and waited by the door as he talked to Demi really fast. 

Nicks' POV

I haven't seen Selena and Maddie since we woke Katie up. Once Katie got ready to leave, I had her wait by the door while I took the stairs two at a time and went to talk to Demi. I found her laying on her bed, doing something on her laptop. I lightly knocked on the door, slowly making sure as to not scare her. 

"Come in" Demi said without looking up
"Katie and I are leaving"  I told her
"Alright Nick, Just have her home no later then 7 and don't spoil her. Oh and you hurt her, I hurt you"  Demi said to me, looking up right at me with the last part
"I won't hurt her Dems, I promise. Bye Dems" I said before I rushed back down the stairs

Katie was waiting calmly leaning against the door. We both walked out the door and to my Black 2014 Chevy Impala. I started the car and drove off after we were both buckled in. I let Katie go through the bluetooth system that my phone was connected to, to chose some music to play. She ended up playing my song Chains. 

"Man, his vocals are amazing. I heard he's a pretty chill dude but he can act like a total punk."  Katie said while smirking towards me
"Yea, definetly awesome vocals" I shot right back

At that moment we both busted out laughing. 

"Hey Katie, I want to get to know you better..so I want to ask you some questions"  I said to her
"Shoot em Jonas"  She told me once again smirking
"Alright, when is your birthday?" I asked
"August 13th" Katie said
"Well I already know you are 14, so you'll be 15?"  I asked
"Good job Nicolas" Katie said
"Haha alright...favorite song? I asked
"Damn you Jonas...thats so hard I have so many. Well by Demi it is Two Worlds Collide, by you its Who I Am, by Jake Miller its First Flight Home, by Bea Miller its Young Blood, by Tim McGraw its Dirt Road Anthem featuring Ludacris,  by Ludacris its Rest of My Life, by Carrie Underwood its Blown Away..just to name a few" She said
"Well thats quite a taste in music you have there Katie" I told her
"Thanks Jonas, Where are we going exactly?" Katie asked me
"Now that is a surprise Katie" I told her
"I hate surprises Jonas...how much longer" Katie groaned out
"Five Minutes Madam"  I said
"Alright" Katie sighed

When we were about a minute away, I handed a blindfold to Katie telling her to put it on. Which she did after minimal moaning and groaning. Soon we arrived. I was talking her to Epic Air which I rented out for the day for just us. I got out of my car and walked over to Katie's side of my car and helped her out and led her to the building. I rang the doorbell on the service entreance and was let into the building. I then led Katie to the middle of the trampoline floor and took the blind fold off of Katie. 

Katie was shocked to say the least and extremely speechless. After the shock wore off she jumped at me and gave me a life sqeezing hug. Once she released me she sprinted off to the trampoline, striping off her shoes in the process. I soon followed suite placing our shoes together near the trampolines. 

After about 2 hours of jumping on the trampolines, Katie let it be known that she was hungry. We jumped off the trampolines and walked over to the concession stand. Katie ordered two pretzels, and some nachoes and a large green tea, while I ordered nachoes and two slices of pizza and a large green tea. 

After we rested our legs and let our food settle before we started jumping again. We soon hit the foam pit and that in itself was interesting. Let me tell you those foam pits are extrememly challenging to get out of. Lets just say that Katie and I had our fair share of laughs at eachother and our attempts to free ourselves from the pit of foam. From there Katie challenges me to a game of dogeball on the dogeball trampoline court. That was so much fun in itself. Katie and I agree that it ended in a tie. We were at epic air for almost 5 hours and it is now quickly approaching 4:30 in the afternoon. Katie and I put our shoes on and left Epic Air. 

"Alright, Jonas you got to ask me some quesitons now I get to ask you some"  Katie said
"Alright shoot em kid"  I replied to her
"Do you like Demi like more then as a friend"  Katie asked
"Wow, you don't waste time getting to the point...but yes, yes I do. I am actually crushing hard on her" I told her
"DUDE! Ask her out!!"  Katie all but shouted in my ear
"Maybe I will, only if you are okay with it" I said to her
"Hell yes...I'm perfectly fine with it. I get her on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays though and no way around that. I love NEMI!!!"  Katie yelled out, I couldn't help but chuckle out at that.
"Haha, okay I'll talk to her about it"  I said to her

Our next stop was to the local Red Lobster for dinner. We were seated in the back by a request from me. We soon ordered our food, Katie and I both got the 2 pounds of the King Crab legs with potatoes and salad. We also ordered some to take back to Demi and Maddie. Soon our food arrives and we both devourded it with in minutes after it arrived. Soon Demi's food arrived as well and I paid the bill and we left back to Demi's house. 

Soon we arrived at Demi's, we both got out and went inside. Demi ran down the stairs (not falling this time) and greated us at the door just as we walked in. Katie handed Demi her meal and we walked to the kitchean where we were questioned as to where we went and how much fun we had. After ruthless questioning, Maddie came and got her food then dragged Katie up to Katie's room to talk. Which left me to talk to Demi about some stuff.

"Hey..Dem..um..uh...what are you doing for Katie's birthday? I nervously asked out. 

God Nick..way to avoid the real question.

"Well, when I first adopted Katie, she said that she hated her birthday but wouldn't open up to me about it...so I wasn't really planning anything."  Dem told me
"Well..it's this Wednesday and I say we throw her a small party. Like at epic air and invite like 20 people and keep it that small." I said to her
"Alright Nick..lets do it"  Demi said to me
"Dem? Can I ask you something"  I once again nervously asked
"Uh..sure Nick. What's up?"  Demi asked
"So..I kinda like this girl, but she dated Joe. This girl, she's beyound beautiful and she is talented. Her laugh brings a smile to my face."  I said
"Oh? and Who is this girl?"  Demi asked me
"It's you Dem. I am head over heels for you Demi."  I told her
"Will you be my girlfriend Demi?"  I asked her
"I would be honored Nick, but I have a daughter now. I have to talk to her about it first. Can I tell you tomorrow?"  Demi asked me
"Sure Demi"  I said

I couldn't help but smile on the inside esspecially after the talk Katie and I had. I stayed a little longer while Demi ate and then had to leave to go to the studio and meet with Joe. 

Katie's POV

Nick did end up asking me questions but they weren't really that bad. He just wanted to know my favorite musical artists and when my birthday was. My birthday was never my favorite time of the year, I actually hate my birthday. I never told Demi why when she adopted me nor do I plan to. Anyways..back to it.

So Nick took me to Epic Air, lets just say I had a blast. The foam pits and the dogeball trampoline areas were the best. Nick bought me lunch, soon we left epic air and went drove to dinner. Pn the way to dinner I asked Nick if he liked Demi..and guess what? He did. THEY SO NEED TO DATE!!! Nick took me to Red Lobster for dinner and we ended up having the same meal and bring some back to Demi and Maddie. God I love Red Lobster!!

Soon we left Red Lobster and drove back to my house. When we walked in, I gave Demi and big hug and we walked into the kitchean, where after about five minutes of filling Demi in on what we did today, Maddie came in and rescued me. We went up to my room and talked about everything I found out today. I told her that I found out that Nick had a crush on Demi. After that we just laid on my bed and watched some Netflix. 

I soon heard the door open and close. Not long after that Demi stuck her head in my room and asked to speak with me in private. Suddenly I was a little bit nevous, not sure as to why since I haven't done anything wrong. I follow Demi into her room and she sat on her bed and patted the space right next to her. I sat down and she started to talk. 

"Katie, how would you feel if Nick asked me out and I said yes."  Demi asked me
"Mom, Nick and I already talked about this. I totally ship you guys. YOU NEED TO SAY YES MOM!!"  I practically shouted at her
"Haha, Alright. Wait, you guys already talked about this?"  Demi asked me
"Haha yea..I told him I was fine with it and that I got you on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays."   I said to Demi
"Um, alright, well I guess I have my answer already. I'll tell Nick I say yes."   Demi said
"Yay, Can I go back to being lazy now?"  I asked Demi
"As long as I can join you guys"  Demi told me

I nodded my head yes and walked out of her room with Demi in tow. The rest of the night was a lazy night. 

Demi's POV

Since Nick took Katie out, Maddie, Selena and I had an "us" day. Which consisted of nothing besides food, movies, shopping and swimming. While we were shopping Selena told me that if I dated a ex of hers she wouldn't mind. Honestly I was super confused about it but I went along with it. After we went swimming, Selena said she had to go to the studio but would be back later tonight. Soon I saw Nick's car pull up into my driveway, I raced down the stairs to meet them just as they opened the front door. Katie handed me a bag with food from Red Lobster inside the bag. I called Maddie down as Katie, Nick and I headed into the kitchen. Katie told me everything that they did today, soon Maddie came downstairs and grabbed her food along with Katie and went back upstairs. From there Nick and I had a interesting conversation. 

I found out that he liked me and he also asked me out. I told him that I had to talk to Katie and then I would give him the answer to his question. I really like Nick, but I have a daughter now and she is my first priorty. I walked Nick out and I went up to Katie's room. My earlier conversation with Selena all made sense now. I peaked my head into her room and asked her to follow me.

I walked into my room and sat on my bed and patted the spot next to me. Katie sat down and we started talking.  Simply put we had a conversation about Me and Nick dating, and it turned out that Nick and Katie already had a similiar disscussion, and Katie gets me on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. My best friend and my daughter are trying to set me up with my male best friend...actually I really like the idea of me and Nick. 

After Katie and I had our talk, I joined Katie and Maddie in being lazy. Soon I got a text from Selena saying she was two minutes out so I went to met her by my door. Selena was soon at my front door. On our way to Katie's bedroom, I told Selena everything that Nick told me and everything Katie told me. She seriously started dancing and was smiling like a fool, I couldn't help but laugh at her. She told me to say yes to Nick.

Selena and I then joined the girls in being lazy from the rest of the night, Selena and Maddie soon fell asleep. Katie fell asleep not long after, I was the last one wake and the last thing that was on my mind before I closed my eyes was Nick and dating him. I soon joined the girls in sleep. 

The following morning when I woke up, I found Katie and Selena laying across Maddie and I, slowly and carefully I rolled them off of us, luckily without waking them up. Then crawling off hte bed in the process. I went into my room and grabbing my phone, scrolling through the contacts I soon landed on Nick's. I hit the dial button and brought the phone to my ear. 

"H-Hello"  Nick spoke with a groggy voice
"Nick did I wake you up?" I asked
"No Dem, whats up?"  Nick asked me
"Do you want to know my answer?" I asked him
"Of Course Demi!!" Nick all but yelled into the phone. I could hear the smile on his face through his voice
"Yes, I will be your girlfriend" I said
"Thank You Demi, I am beyond happy at the moment"  Nick said
"Hey...Um..I'll get Dallas to take Maddie and Katie somewhere. Can you help Selena and I plan Katie's small party at epic air?"  I slowly asked out
"Of course Dem"  Nick said
"Well, I'm still tired and I bet you are as well. I'm going to let you go back to sleep seeing as I will do the same."  I told him

With that I ended the phone call and I was smiling like a fool. I went to Dallas's contact and text her.

To Dallas
Can you take Maddie and Katie somewhere today? Selena, Nick and I are planning Katie's birthday party. 

Minutes later I recivied a reply from her

From Dallas 
Of course I'll take them. I'll pick them up at noon.

Thanks Dallas!! 

With that I went back into Katie's room and cuddled with my girls until I fell asleep for a little bit longer.

Sooo...Katie and Nick had an awesome day out. Nick asked Demi out and she said yes. I will probably have a small chapter update tomorrow and hopefully a decent sized one on wednesday. (Please don't kill me if it isn't too long on Wednesday..its my birthday (and Katie's) and even though I don't have any plans..I still want to enjoy my day.)
