When Changbin opened his eyes, the first thing to greet him was the white of the room he was at. His head was fuzzy and confused. Not really sure about where he was or what he was doing there. And definitely not sure of how he'd gotten there. However, he tried not to panic or anything like that. He looked around the room calmly. He was in a bed with white sheets that were really soft. He realized that he was hungry too and his lips were dry. He saw an electrocardiograph next to him, marking what he thought was his own heartbeat and...

Oh.

He remembered. He remembered how he'd run to save Felix even if he was supposed to never change a bit of the future. He remembered himself fighting against Felix's assailant. He remembered himself getting in between Felix and a bullet. And he remembered the pain that he felt when the bullet penetrated his skin.

Damn.

"Binnie?" Changbin heard, "Are you awake?" The person walked to him.

"Jeongin?" Changbin's voice was deep and husky, probably because he'd just woken up from being asleep for who knows how long.

"Oh, god!" The younger one exclaimed, "I need to go get Felix."

"Is Felix okay?" Changbin asked, Felix being his first priority.

Jeongin nodded with enthusiasm and Changbin tried to smile, not sure if he'd accomplished it or not.

"You're the only one injured if we don't count the man how attacked you," Jeongin explained him. "The guards of the airport where alerted by the security cameras and the noise in the bathroom, they got there right after he... hurt you."

Changbin sighed in relief. If Felix was okay, that's all that mattered for him. He didn't care about receiving a bullet if it was for Felix.

"How long have I been sleeping?"

"Three days, hyung," Jeongin informed him. "Felix missed his flight because of the incident, not that he was gonna fly there anyways. But his mother ended up coming after she got the news," Changbin nodded. "I'll go bring Lix now," Jeongin smiled at him and left the room seconds after.

Changbin looked at his hand and saw the intravenous in there, it was weird for him. He'd never been hospitalized before. He also noticed how the side of his body ached when he tried to move a little. He hissed and decided to stay quiet, that was probably the place where the bullet hit him.

He realized that he couldn't see anything about the future this time. Not now, not in a long term. And for the first time, he didn't feel scared about it. He started to try and find a reason to why he wouldn't be able to see anything. Was it because he'd changed the future? Because he'd decided to act on his own will? Different to how he'd forgotten about his power the last time, this time he knew he'd had the ability of seeing the future. He was totally conscious of it, but he couldn't see it. Maybe the same force that decided to give him that power in the first place, had decided to take it back since Changbin had made a bad usage of it.

However, the door being slammed open stopped him from analyzing anything further.

"Changbin!" Felix was standing in the door, breathing heavily as he had apparently run his way to the room. Changbin took a moment to observe his boyfriend. He was alive. Wearing normal clothes and his black hair a complete mess. His eyes had dark bags under them and he looked tired, but he was there, he was alive, Changbin had saved him.

The eyes of both were filled with tears and before any of them could do anything, they were hugging each other. Felix was being extremely careful, trying to move Changbin the least possible so his wound wouldn't hurt him. And both of them had started to silently cry in the arms of each other.

"I thought I would lose you," both said at the same time, making each other chuckle softly.

"Gosh, Binnie," Felix whined, "I really thought you would die. Jesus, there was so much blood everywhere, all I could see was red. I couldn't even react for like an hour and then you were under the knife for so long," he cried out. "I'm so glad you're okay, baby. Please, never do this to me again," Felix breathe was a mess and his words came out as a cascade with stutters and uncontrolled sobs.

Changbin held him tight, as tight as his state allowed him to and stroke his back carefully. He understood how Felix had felt. He had gone through the same thing once he remembered what would happen to Felix. He had been dying the entire way to the airport and also when he entered the bathroom and saw the man taking out his gun.

"I know, I felt the same way," Changbin confessed with tears rolling down his cheeks too.

They didn't say anything else, they simply hugged each other for other ten minutes until a nurse entered and reproached them for not calling her as soon as Changbin woke up. The nurse started to check up on Changbin, making general revisions and saying that he was apparently fine. She left saying that a doctor would come later on to do a more in-depth revision but that for now, Changbin was recovering nicely.

Felix tried to update Changbin on what had happened in the past three days while he was sleeping. He'd held Changbin's hand and started to talk about how his mother had arrived the day before because she was too worried about Felix. He continued to tell him about how everybody had been so worried about him. That specially Woojin had stayed the first and second night with Felix because he was too worried about his best friend to sleep calmly. And more things that Changbin listened to carefully.

Being like that, having Felix next to him, Changbin realized that his only real mistake had been to ever think that losing Felix was just something that needed to happen.

That day, late for work and distracted, when Changbin bumped into him and Felix's milkshake ended up on his work's t-shirt, Changbin had felt the need of running away. Because he had been shown his entire journey with Felix. And he knew that his loss would leave a deep cut inside of him that nobody would be able to heal. But he'd stayed because you can never change the future had been taught to him since he was able to understand that he could see the future.

But now, he was sure he didn't care. If he had to fight for the love of his life, he would do it. And no pre-decided fate could tell him otherwise.
