So as you know I love Skillet and even before the Rise album came out I herd this song on YouTube and I couldn't wait for it to come out on CD. It came out June 25 of 2013 and within the next two days I held the Rise deluxe version in my hands
Anyways, this song, and the whole album, is a continues story about a girl (or generally any person) who realizes what the world has actually become. She also sees herself as someone who isn't good enough and never will be, but she manages to rise up and against these thoughts and feelings
And Rise is the first album they have done that is a continuing story
