Strictly Business (Larry Bourgeois Fanfiction)

Chapter 4 Part 1;

"Look I'm not trying to scuff up my Jordan's but since my baby boy wants me to play,I'll play" I say walking onto the basketball court next to Larry.

Right after their rehearsal,we found the nearest park for the boys to play basketball.But of course Brice found it unfair that Larry is playing alone against him and Lau.So,now I have to play.

"Damn Larry,now you're really going to lose"Laurent says passing the ball to me.

"Oh shut up Lau,what's game?"

"To make it easy hm..15"Lau says smiling.

"Alright"

I begin to dribble the ball.

"Don't hurt yourself trying to keep up"I say as I fake left and Lau falls over.

I drive to the basket doing a perfect lay up.

"Broke your ankles Laurent?" I laugh passing the ball to him as he gets up. "One-zip"

Larry gives me a high five as I stand next to him.Lesson of the day?Never under estimate a girl.Especially a Durham.

"Check" Larry says to Brice.

Brice passes him the ball and begins to guard Larry as he starts to dribble.

Larry looks at me and Lau right before faking he lost his handle.

"Get the ball Brice"Lau says .

Brice grabs the ball running to Lau so he could help him get to the basket.Lau picks him and Brice drops the ball in the basket.

"YAY" I yell clapping along with Larry.

It basically took an hour to finish the game but in the end...Larry and I won.

"Kept running your mouth and see where that's gotten you?"I ask Lau playfully pushing him.

"Alright,alright you got it best friend"Lau says swinging his arm over my shoulder.

"Maybe you'll stop running your mouth now."

"Pfft,of course not"

"Whatever Lau"

"Mommy I want ice cream"Brice says pulling on my hand.

"I'll take him,my brother has been feening to talk to you all day.And no you don't have to pay me back."Lau says before putting Brice over his shoulder.

"No-"

"Shhh best friend"

He quickly walks away before I could retort.

"He's a really good kid" Larry says throwing his arm on my shoulder.

"Oh,thanks."

"You did a great job,very smart too.He could be a mommas' boy sometimes too"

"Yeah way too smart at that and how so?"

"I made a joke about you and he got mad at me the same way you do.You won't talk to me at all,you would just completely ignore me."

"That's my baby boy."

"I would do anything for a kid like that."

I look up at him as he clinches his jaw.He's angry,but about what though?

"Larry.." I say standing in front of him,"What are you angry about?"

"I'm not"

"Look me right in the eye and say you're not"

He looks at me sternly before speaking. "I'm not mad"

"Bullshit," then I thought about it the things Lau has been saying. "Is it about your ex?"
