I remember the first time I met him when we were both three. It was on the beach.

He was running around in the water, saying hi to the seaweed. I had gone up to him, and tapped his back with my little hands. The boy had turned around to see who it was, and when he saw me, the biggest smile I had ever seen on someone's face, had crept up on his.

"Hello." I had said in a small voice, looking at his brown eyes, that looked like melted chocolate. I remember wanting to touch it, but mom had told me that touching someone's eyes was not a good thing to do. So I had just smiled up at him.

"Hello! You are beautiful." He had said looking at me, which only made me blush.

"Do... you want to build sand..." I had asked, gesturing with my hands as I tried to remember the word for the palaces people make with sand.

He had nodded and helped me with his tiny hands to build the castle. By the time we both managed to pat down some sand, so that it stands up, it was already evening. I remember turning to look at my parents, and the boy had turned with me, to wave at both of our parents. I remember running up to the shore to collect some shells to decorate our castle, but a wave had suddenly come up and washed away our castle.

I ran back to find the boy, struggling to keep the castle up, but to no avail. We had both worked on it for far too long, and I was pretty close to crying. But I had noticed the boy's eyes tearing up too. And I couldn't see such a beautiful boy cry. So I had held out the shells I had collected, in front of him.

"Here." I had said as the boy looked up at me handing him the shells.

He looked confused, so I had opened his palm and placed a beautiful white shell in his hand.

"Thank you for helping me, Mr. Boy." I said in a small voice, and he had noticed that my eyes were a bit teary too.

So he had smiled, and hugged me, before moving back slowly.

"I had fun. My name is Taehyung. You can call me Tae." He said looking at me shyly, for having hugged me so suddenly.

I giggled and smiled up at him. "Me too. My name is Amelia. You can call me Amy." I said holding out my hand for him to shake. I had seen my dad doing that to his friends. He smiled and shook my hands.

"Okay Amy! Thank you for the shell." He said as his parents came and picked him up.

My parents came up behind me too.

"Your welcome Tae. Let's meet again!" I had said as my mom picked me up in her shoulders.

"Guess these two will be seeing each other soon." Tae's dad said, shaking hands with my father.

I looked at Tae before looking at my mom, confused.

"Oh. They live close to our house. So you guys can meet up all the time." Mom had said ruffling my hair. I looked at Tae with a big smile on my face, and he was smiling right back at me.

"Let's meet again then!" he said as our parents bid each other goodbye.

Apparently our parents worked in the same company, and both of us were almost always together growing up. We were in the same kindergarten and school and had grown to be very over protective of each other.
