"Babe, am I that beautiful that you would rather look at me instead of the stars?" Tae smiled looking at me, making me realize that I had been looking at him for a while now.
"Yeah you are." I replied smiling at him, my breathe hitching at the end when Tae's expression went from fun to intense. It was like a switch was turned on.
"Hehe, thanks. So are you." Tae replied smiling back at me as he looked away, the spell breaking almost instantly.
I breathed out softly. He ruffled my hair as he passed me another sandwich to nibble on.
After everything we did, it was a bit weird to be alone like this. It was a bit weird to feel weird about it. I thought that it would be okay. We were best friends before the feelings crept into our relationship.
But the tension increased multifold as we sat so close to each other that my mind went blank with just the thought of it, the touch of our bodies created the kind of electricity that made you want to do things you never imagined.
Because we knew that the possibility of something happening between us had become a reality, every touch was a spark edging us towards the fire.
I was addicted to him, his smell, his touch, his heart beat. I wanted him. I wanted him to do everything he could do to me.
I wanted him to do nothing at all as we spent time in that comfortable silence that always surrounded us.
"Tae?" I gasped as I felt his fingers softly brush aside the strand of hair on my face.
"Come here" he said, pulling me in between his legs, my back pressed against his chest. His fingers rubbed softly at the junction between my neck and my shoulders.
I turned to putty in his hands as he gently massaged my back.
"Babe?" I whispered softly. If we weren't as close to each other as we were at that moment, I doubt he would have even heard me.
"Yeah sweetheart?"
"Are you scared?" I dared to ask.
His fingers stopped moving as he grew silent. I thought that he wouldn't answer that question.
"I guess.... I mean... Yeah, all this is pretty new right. We were friends and now we are more than that. More risks. More... I don't know, everything... But I am also happy that I am experiencing all this with you, yanno. I never could've thought of anyone better than you to complete me... " he said, letting his head fall on my back, so that it was resting between my shoulder blades perfectly.
His breath sent shivers down my back, but I stayed still. I didn't know what to say after the answer he gave me.
"Are you scared?" he asked after a while.
"No.. Not anymore." I responded almost immediately, shocking both of us, before it pulled a chuckle out of him.
"I am glad." he said, kissing the back of my neck, sending shocks after shocks down my back, long after his lips left my skin.
