I was in the lab once again, and as I turned my head I saw Professor Xavier and Hank watching me patiently. Wait. How do I tell if it worked?
If what worked? I shouted at the sudden thought flooding through my mind. What the fuck. What the fuck. What the holy fuck.
Could you please stop cursing? Yelling once again, I looked around again. There beside the tank was Kurt, outside of the tank. What? Looking back and forth between the Kurt outside the tank and the Kurt in the tank, I was confused, not to mention a little scared.
"Y/N?" I jumped as I felt Hank's hand on my shoulder. "Are you alright?" No I am not alright what the fuck is going on I wasn't supposed to start hearing voices and now there's two Kurts what the fuck do I do all I was supposed to do was host his-wait. Host his soul. Which means his soul is in me. Which means his entire being is contained within my body. Oh god I agreed to have two minds in my head. On top of my own feelings there was a sense of confusion that came from Kurt, which lessened some as I went on, but he was quiet through my thought stream, whether he intended to be or not. Hank noticed me staring at the Kurt outside of the tank and looked over at him, then back at me, more worried than before. "Y/N appears to be hallucinating. Professor, could you check her mental state?" The professor nodded, closing his eyes for a few seconds. Multiple German sentences ran through my mind, confirming my belief that Kurt was German. I sighed, annoyed at the situation I had just gotten myself into.
"She isn't hallucinating, Hank. Kurt's mind and Y/N's mind are currently sharing one body, and as a result Y/N can see a physical representation of him. Extraordinary!" Xavier stared at me in wonder. Yeah and Kurt has no clue what the fuck's going on.
No one's told me anything. "How long do you need me to do this again?" I'll give you an explanation later. Mostly because it's long-ish and annoying to explain. I rubbed my temple, walking towards the door.
"As long as it takes for us to get enough information to repair his body properly," Hank says, writing down what I could only assume was the observations Xavier had pointed out. Yeah Hank collects data on all of us in an attempt to better understand our powers and their weaknesses and strengths. He figured out how to control Scott's lasers. Interesting. I paused, slightly confused.
Don't you hate Scott for killing you? Nein! Not at all. It was completely my fault that I died. I just happened to get in front of him when he was fighting. I wonder if he knows that though.
I was planning to talk to him anyways. We could- "Y/N!" Hank startled me, bringing my attention back to reality. "Are you sure you're ok?"
"I'm fine! Sorry. Basically running two conversations at once here. What were you saying?" Oops. Shut up.
"I was saying you might want to take off your shoes in case the transformation is faster than we expect." Wait why- I catch a glimpse of Kurt's feet. They were longer than the average foot, with two toes about as long as fingers and a third digit on the back of his heel. Oh. Interesting. Looks rather useful for holding on to stuff. They are. A scene appeared in my head. I was on a trapeze, holding on with just my feet- no. Kurt was holding onto the trapeze with his feet. The memory broke off there. Nice. Danke. I remove my shoes and socks, feeling the cold tile under my feet.
"Apparently we can also share memories with each other. Might wanna add that to your notebook." I turned to Xavier, continuing. "So where will I be staying? Is there a room for me or something?"
"You'll be staying in Kurt's room, seeing as it's empty and you already know how to get there," the Professor explained. "You, Kurt, and Hank will have daily checkups so as to fully assess your abilities. Whenever you feel ready, we can start training you. Of course, the sooner, the better." I'm gonna be in Kurt's room? I thought I'd get my own. Well, there's only a limited number of rooms, and new students are always coming in. It's better to reuse the rooms than give everyone a new one. Let's drop your stuff off at my room and then we'll go talk to Scott.
Sounds like a plan. "We're... I'm gonna go put my stuff away. If you need me, you know where to find me." I walked towards the door, opening it.
Hey, could we possibly start over?
Sure. Y/N L/N, your current host.
Kurt Wagner, your resident ghost.
