A/N: This song is really good! I love it! You don't have to listen to it, but I suggest that you should. You won't regret it!
Anyway, on with the gayness.---------------
Rantarou groaned as his alarm went off. Another day in hell, or school. Whatever.
He didn't really have a reason to hate school, he had a fair amount of friends, he wasn't bullied or made fun of. It's mostly why everyone hates school, learning and getting up early.
He sighed and turned over, slamming his fist on the alarm clock. He stood up from his bed and stretched, almost everything from his waist up popped.
Rantarou took a shower, got dressed, brushed his teeth, combed his hair, and went down the stairs to eat. He doesn't stick around at the dining table to eat, it's always full of his siblings. So he usually grabs a piece of toast and runs out the door, which he did.
While Rantarou was walking out the door, he heard a faint yelling of his name. He narrowed his eyes and turned around, seeing the one and only Kokichi Ouma flailing his arms around and yelling like a maniac. Rantarou chuckled and walked towards him.
Once Kokichi reached him, he bent over and put his hands on his knees in an attempt to catch his breath. A short time later, he looked up at Rantarou and glared at him. "Dammit! You know your supposed to wait on me!" Rantarou quietly snickered and shrugged.
"Sorry, man. I'll buy you a panta if you stop whining like a child." He offered, which apparently brought Kokichi forward. He smiled, "Apology accepted." And him and Rantarou shook hands.
Rantarou and Kokichi walk to school almost everyday. They've been best friends practically their whole life, and luckily they live fairly close to eachother as well. They gossip to eachother, hang out often, and hell, they'd take a bullet for another.
They had at least four classes together in school, and in every single one they sit next to eachother in. Neither of them mind either, in fact they enjoy it. No other friend they have understand the sense of humor they have, except, of course, they understand eachothers. Anytime their in Chemistry or Sex Ed or anything, they point out something and start laughing so much the teacher has to separate them.
They even have inside jokes that no one else understands. It's unbelievable how much their alike, it's almost a miracle they met eachother. And you know what's worse?
Kokichi loves him.
He never would admit it to a soul, but he secretly loved the tall green haired boy. He tried his hardest not to let his feelings show, and somehow it works.
He loves his smile, he loves his laugh, he loves his appearance. Fuck, he loves everything about him.
The thing that sucks the most is that he knows he'll never like him back. He doesn't know how he knows, but he just does. There's just a feeling in his gut that's telling him to stop liking him for that reason, but he can't stop. Rantarou's like a drug, and Kokichi's addicted.
It always got Kokichi down about it, too. He's never liked anyone the way he likes Rantarou, and to know he'll never like him the way Kokichi does.
Rantarou noticed Kokichi being suspiciously silent during their walk to school. Usually, he'd talk about how much he hates someone or something or talk about a show he watches all the time, but he's being quiet. Awfully quiet. Too quiet.
"So, uh, your quiet today." Rantarou pointed out. Kokichi looked back at him, smiling. "Ah, I just was thinking about something. No big deal." Rantarou tilted his head. "What were you thinking about?" He asked, still looking at Kokichi. He couldn't help but be curious, not knowing why either.
Kokichi sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Something." He said, trying to sound nonchalant, but obviously failing. He ended up sounding angry.
Rantarou put his hands up in defense, still smiling. "O-kay, Mr. Grumpy-pants. I'll shut up." Kokichi huffed and rolled his eyes.

School was nothing unusual. A few fights here and there, but that seemed to be the only amusing thing there.
Rantarou and Kokichi were walking back to their houses. Kokichi was still oddly silent, still concerning Rantarou. He chose not to say anything this time since he doesn't want Kokichi to snap at him.
"I like someone, what do I do?" Kokichi asked randomly, making Rantarou turn to look at him. "Well, uh.. You could confess to them, ya know." Rantarou said, shrugging. Kokichi nodded, looking back down at the ground.
Once they reached Rantarou's house, Rantarou turned to walk inside while saying, "Bye Koki–" before he cut him off. He grabbed Rantarou's arm and spun him around, making him look at him.
"Rantarou I uh– I like you.. A lot...." Kokichi muttered, grabbing the hem of his shirt and fiddling with it. Rantarou stared at Kokichi like he was in a haze. He was feeling so many emotions at once, confusion, happiness, but more importantly, sadness.
He was confused as to why Kokichi liked him, happy because Kokichi finally decided to stop acting like he has no emotions and have feelings for someone, but sadness because he has to tell Kokichi those three words.
Rantarou took a deep breath.
"I'm sorry, I like girls."
