Walking through school is like walking through hell, just maybe with less flames and more burning words. The halls to class had to be my worst fear. Ok I take that back. I show zero emotion most of the time because I don't share anything. Shiro, my brother was great at school, he learn so much so fast, he was good at sports and make friends in two complete seconds. Let's just say that talent didn't pass to me.

I'm the acquired one that watches as their older sibling talks with their friends with a smile on their face, as the younger sits on the side wishing they had what they did. Friends. Someone to talk to beside family.

You know cause you can't always tell family what you want to talk about. It's not like I'm depressed, I think. But that's not the point, where were we. Oh yah. Back to hell.

Pulling my backpack tighter to myself I looked at the ground as I walked into class. The room almost full a few back rows left empty, Keith, a boy within said back row, was sitting by the window. Alone. Again. 'Well, maybe I should try to become friends' my thoughts spoke as if I could do it.

I walked to the back row and sat in the desk over from his, without speaking. 'YOUR'E SUPPOSE TO TALK IDJIT!' my mind yelled. As I pulled out my pencil, scratch book, and notebook, the teacher spoke up.

"Well class we have a special guest today," she said with a smile.

Oh yah I forgot to tell you-

"Hello everyone my name is Takashi Shirogane and I'm here today to find new recruits for the Galaxy Garrison." My brother said as he walked into the room and stopped in front of the class.

-That. He gets annoying sometimes always being the best. Getting respect.

"We will be taking a test-"

"Awe!" The class whined. 'Shut up, your so annoying.'

"By playing a video game," Shiro continued with his eyes closed and head tilted back. Keith didn't look very interested, he kept staring out the window. 'I like his style, I should try the whole ignoring Shiro thing more often.'

"I brought with me the machine you will be using, so if you all would follow me please." He said as he walked towards the door as everyone stood abruptly and ran after Shiro.

"Come on Keith, and you to (Name), he said all of you." The teacher spoke sternly like she was unhappy with us both, her cheerful demeanor gone as soon as Shiro left.

"Whatever," Keith stated as he stood and walk out slowly as you followed his lead. Shoving your hands into your pockets as you sulked your way outside.

Shiro spoke the trust about having the machine with him. Kids crowded the pilot sit as they "flew" past asteroids. I was not intrigued by said machine, I could fly the real thing, I got the talent just as Shiro did. But my grades spoke words that I wish they didn't, words saying that I would never be able to reach that far without falling.

As student after student failed to pass level five, Shiro walked over to Keith and took a glance at my back as I sat on the ground. "It's up to you, unless you want (Name) to go instead. She can crush this test already."

Keith looked at Shiro and then sighed but slipped into the fake pilot seat anyway. Weaving through the asteroids like a pro, easily passing level five and continued forward. I glance back not watching everything but enough to get the point.

Shiro and the teacher talked about the "best" student, James Griffin. Sure you could say best, best bully that is. He's been all over my case, don't even get me started with Keith's. Words were said that were overheard by both you and Keith apparently. Keith in a furious rage left the pilot seat and ran into Shiro car driving away. But the sound of the machine game make Shiro and the teacher turn the other way. 'He made himself a diversion.'

A small smile spread to my expression 'In your face Shiro, that what you get for leaving your car doors opened. With the keys in it none the less.'

<••>

I sat at home as the door opened, and in walked my brother as he takes his garrison jacket off and places it on the back of a chair.

"Get your car back?" You asked not looking up from my drawing that was on the kitchen table as I lean over it so slightly.

"Haha, very funny (Name)," He said sarcastically as he rolled his eyes, "And yes, I did. Keith is also going to the Garrison, along with you, missy."

I continued to draw without words as Shiro sat in the seat to my left. "Hey, what's up?" He sounded concerned as he put his hands on the table with his fingers interlocked.

"It's nothing." I reply as I was about to stand and closed by stretch book. His hand grabbing my wrist stopped me from doing anything. My eyes wide at the feeling of his tight grip, flashes cover my vision as reality mixed into the past. He retreated his hand immediately.

"I'm sorry (Name), you know I would never-" he tried to finish, quickly getting to his feet. But I ran. The slam of my door to my bedroom made him pitch his eyes closed, hang his head and rack his fingers through his black fluff of hair. "I'm sorry." He whispered to himself. As he sat back down at the table and rested his elbows there his eyes scanned over to my art book. He moved in to the front of his seat as he touched the front cover gently ready to open it. He shook his head as he stood grabbing the book and walking up the stairs to your bedroom.

He knocked softly as he placed his forehead onto the door, "(Name) you know I would never, please, let me in." He sounded desperate beyond belief and so very upset that it made you upset. The trust of the Shirogane family is simply from one event, in all honesty the event scares the both of us still. But we stuck together, our bond unique, and our love from sister to brother, strong. The event hasn't been spoken of between the two, they don't want to bring it up to upset one another. Well, the brother mostly, the sister is the one that would effected by it the most.

"Please (Name)," he tried again and slowly reached for the doorknob. As he twisted it and pushed the door opened he found you pulling your legs closer to your chest as you look out the window of your room. Crashing Shiro's heart that he scared his own sister into a state he only saw once on her face before.

He closed the door softly as he went and sat on your bed and pulled you into his lap as he hugged you tightly. A protective hug. You remember it well. You wrapped your arms around his torso and pulled him closer. "I will protect you (Name), no one will hurt you. I promise," Shiro said softly as his grip tighter more. Sleep consumed the younger and the older was drifting off slowly, and before sleep took him as well he stated, "He won't came back."
