~Kaz~
I groaned as the masked man delivered what I hoped was the final blow to my ribs.
"I'm bored." He stated before walking out of the room slamming the door shut behind him.
~Ty~
"Come on, come on! Pick up damnit!!!" I growled.
The call went to voicemail for the fifth time in a row and I felt like tearing my hair out!
I took a deep breath and hit redial.
"Ty?"
"Thank god! Kaz what the hell?!"
I was more relieved than I'd like to admit, now that I was hearing her voice. Something was off though. I know Kaz's voice and it never sounded this strained and pain filled.
"Kaz what happened? Are you ok?" I paniced.
What is wrong with me!?
"I'm fine." She choked out.
"Liar. You're hurt. I swear to god I'll kill whoever did it!" I growled.
"Ty I'm fine really. Have you found anything yet?"
She sounded so hopeful that it physically hurt to have to tell her I hadn't.
"I'm trying Kaz. I'm gonna find you I promise."
"You know that band you like?"
"Twenty One Pilots?" I asked not sure where she was going with this.
"Yeah. The one guy looks like one of the band members. He's the same height and he was wearing the same red ski mask."
"Anything else?"
"No."
"K. Listen Kaz I'm gonna go check out your apartment and see what I can find..."
Suddenly she cut me off.
"Don't leave me Ty!" She begged.
"What?"
"Please don't hang up! I'm really scared and I feel safer when I can talk to you." She whimpered.
"I made that mistake once. I'm not making it again. I won't hang up I promise. I'm here Kaz don't worry." I assured her as I did a not so legal U-turn and headed for her apartment.
