Title: It's all for you
Synopsis: At halftime, the score is nil-nil. To spare the boring 15 minutes of halftime you and the other WAGS dance and this leads to England's victory. (It kinda gets a bit random and fluffy towards the end)
Word count: 978 (I wanted to make this extra long as it took so long to publish)
Warnings: None, just lots of fluff
Requested: So this was requested by @snazzy1reader , I'm so sorry this has taken so long. As it took so long I added a bit extra into the imagine for you. I really hope you enjoy this. If anyone else has a request feel free to DM me or leave it in the comments. @snazzy1reader I hope this was everything you wanted. Also, for the purpose of this imagine I will be pretending that Jesse played in the England v Switzerland game and that Jesse scored a goal.
The referee blew the whistle to signalise halftime. The score was nil-nil between England and Switzerland. It had been a stressful 45 minutes with Switzerland looking like the stronger team. The teams headed into the dugout and as Jesse entered the tunnel, our eyes met. Seeing he was sad, I sent him a small smile. The long 15 minutes of halftime began. Music was played through the stadium's speakers, and at first, the music was bland, nothing exciting. After what felt like 300 years, but what was actually only 3 minutes, the next song came on. As soon as it came on I jumped up. 'I like it' by Cardi B was blaring out into the stadium (A/N: If you hate the song just change it to something you like).
I started dancing like I do when I'm home alone. I was getting really into it, swinging my hips like crazy and rapping the lyrics. After realising where I was I suddenly froze. I am currently surrounded by a stadium full of people, probably not the smartest idea to be dancing like an idiot. However, just as I was about to sit down Kate Goodland grabs my hand and makes me dance with her. I look around us and all the WAGs are also jumping about like crazy people. The next song that found its way to our ears was 'Promises' by Sam Smith and Calvin Harris. The level of dance moves stepped up, with us all even flossing in time with one another (A/N: I'M SORRY OKAY, legit no other dance moves are popular right now other than fortnite dance moves). We continued to dance like idiots for the rest of halftime.
We continued to dance and sing our hearts out and as a result, failed to acknowledge that the boys had come back onto the pitch. As they were walking out into their positions on the pitch Jesse looke up into the box to presumably to meet my eyes, instead, he was met with the whole box of Wives and Girlfriends dancing. He suddenly let out a little giggle and it didn't take long until the whole England team was watching us. The sound speaker cut out, stopping the music, bringing us WAGs back to reality. As we all sat down we saw that all the boys were staring in our direction. Jesse sent me a little wink before snapping his head forward as he heard the sound of the whistle.
Not 6 minutes into the second half Jesse got the ball in front of goal and curled the ball towards the right corner of the goal. With anticipation and hope, I followed the ball into the back of the net. As soon as the ball came into contact with the back of the net the stadium erupted into applause and cheers with ever English fan chanting "Engerland, Engerland, Engerland, Engerland, Engerland, Engerland, Engerland, Engerland, Engerland, Engerland, Engerrrrrland". For the rest of the game the whole stadium was buzzing from the English fan's pride. The final whistle was blown signalizing England's one-nil win. As soon as this whistle went Jesse made his way over to me. I went to the edge of the box to meet him. When we reached each other I started to congratulate him but he interrupted me with a kiss. The kiss was long and passionate, with us pulling away breathless in more than one way. I was the first to speak,
"Baby, you were incredible today, honestly, I've never seen you play better and that goal you scored was incredible. I'm so proud of you." My heart was filled with proudness at the thought of how he played today.
"Thanks babe, it's all due to your amazing dance moves, they inspired me," I burst out into unstoppable giggling, "I'm being serious. I scored it for you. It's all for you" My laughter came to a halt as I gleamed up at my wonderful boyfriend and pulled him into a kiss. The kiss this time was more desperate and rough. However, the kiss did not last long as Gareth Southgate called for Jesse to come into the changing room. Jesse gave me one last quick peck before walking away.
However, not even after two steps, he turned his head around, looking right back at me. I smiled at him and he returned my small smile before turning his head back and continuing his walk. Again, after 2 steps he turned back and looked at me smiling even wider this time. I giggled at his childish actions and gestured to him to keep on walking. He laughs and starts walking again, however, he does not turn his head quick enough and he ends up walking right into Marcus Rashford. My small giggles turn into a fit of laughter as Jesse landed on his butt. My fit of laughter starts to take control of my eyes, causing my vision to blur. Marcus, who was also laughing, helps Jesse off the ground. Jesse looks back at me and sees me laughing my head off, and instead of sending me a sweet smile as he had before, he flips me off. I jokingly gasp, pretending to be offended by my boyfriend's actions. Jesse apparently did not get that I was joking and ran over to me. As soon as he reached me he pulled me into another kiss. After a few seconds, I pulled away.
"You know I was joking right." As I say this, Jesse has a cheeky gleam in his eyes.
"Yeah I knew, I just wanted another kiss." My heart warms at Jesse's cute action. I give him a small kiss and urge him along, reminding him that his coach was waiting on him. He finally runs off and one single thought echoes through my mind
God I love this man
