He's so young – and very attractive. He’s tall, dressed in a fine navy blue suit, white shirt, and black tie. I register his unruly dark hair, bronzed skin, the shadow of stubble... and then I force my eyes to pull away. "We are very fortunate today," Professor Thomas begins, "Mr Donovan has been kind enough to take time from his very busy schedule to come and talk to you all about what it takes to achieve." He then steps back, allowing Mr Donovan to take the centre floor. I feel my stomach muscles tense up and my eyes dart to his lips as he begins to speak, "Business is all about knowing the people you are facing, their strengths, weaknesses, how to incentivise them." his husky Irish accent has sent my heart crashing against my chest. I watch him as he slowly drags his tongue over his bottom lip. Oh good god. "You need to put in the hard work and to do so you need to have passion and power inside of yourself. There is a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson that says, 'What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us'" I can't listen any longer, so I direct my attention elsewhere. My hands are sitting in my lap and I am unconsciously  twisting around the ring that is always placed around my middle finger. Where is Matt, I think as I strain my neck searching for where he is sitting. Of course he is in his usual seat in the corner, I narrow my eyes at him as he yawns obviously not paying any attention to the Irish god. I shake my head trying to dismiss that thought out of my head. I need to keep distracting myself, I try to read over my class notes. This is pointless I have read over the same line over and over again, so I just watch the hands moving on my watch, counting down the minutes until this is over and I can finally go home. After what feels like hours later Aaron Donovan has finally finished speaking, I don't know if I'm relieved or actually disappointed. I start gathering my things, ready to leave but my professors voice stops me. "Miss Hart, can I see you for a moment?" Oh no. I look up and see Mr Donovan sitting down speaking into his phone. I really hope he's not going to be staying.

I slowly make my way down the stairs to the front of the lecture theatre, my eyes not leaving the ground. "I'm sorry for being late I-" He stops me mid sentence, "Alexandra, I just wanted to congratulate you." now I'm confused, what is he talking about? "I have spoken to John Blakelee, who you did work experience with at The SL Foundation..." a smile forms across his lips "and he has offered you a job in their public relations department as soon as your exams are finished." I feel my eyes widen in shock. "Oh. Wow. Thank you." I manage to stutter out and he nods in dismissal. Shaking my head in disbelief I turn to leave the room, bumping into someone. "Sorry..." I begin to apologise, but my voice escapes me as I look up to see green eyes of Aaron Donovan staring right back into mine.
