"How do you look so beautiful all the time?" Aaron whispers in my ear, his minty breath tickling me, as I finish getting ready for him to drive me home. I don't think a man, other than my dad, has ever called me beautiful before.
"You're not too bad yourself handsome." I say smiling up at him and he plants a kiss on my lips. He walks my out of his home holding my hand and I can't help but think that this is a very boyfriend like thing to do. I'm trying to ignore the pain in my knee so I can just enjoy this moment without Aaron threatening me to carry me to his car. On the drive home he tells me that he's about to close a really important deal with a big company, I've never heard of and I listen intently watching him talk so fervently about his work. He pulls up outside my apartment and he runs his hands through his hair making it look unruly, just how I like it. "I don't want to let to go." He reaches up to my face, caressing my cheek with his fingertips and I can immediately feel my heart race speed up under his touch.
"You need to because I need time to get ready for a certain date I was promised."
"Tell me that our date will be really soon, because I won't be able to go a long time with without seeing you again." I want to tell him I will see him tonight, tomorrow and every day after that. My final exams this week and I can't have any distractions and that includes Aaron Donavan.
"As soon as my exams are over, you can have me all to yourself."
"I'm definitely going to have you. You're all mine." He leans forward and brushes his lips slowly against mine. "I need to take this moment to savour your taste until then." He deepens the kiss, his tongue desperately dancing with mine. Breaking away, he leaves me feeling completely breathless. "You have my phone number. Call me whenever you want to." I watch him as he walks back to his car and he glances back at me watching me as I unlock my front door, as though he's making sure I get in safely. I wave goodbye as he drives away. Now he's gone four days is suddenly feeling like a long time.

As soon as I step inside my apartment I come face to face with smug looking Danni. "I knew it!" She shouts. "I knew you couldn't stay away from him." she starts jumping around excitedly. This is going to be a long day. "What was he like?"
"He was wonderful." I can't help but smile.
"What happened after you ran from the bar? Tell me everything." She's relentless. I know she's not going to give up until she's satisfied with the details I've given her. I limp over to the couch, not being able to stand on my painful knee any longer. "God Alex! What happened to you? Are you okay?"
"I fell over, well I was pushed by a sleazy guy and Aaron took me the hospital, so I'm fine now."
"I hope you slapped that fucker!"
"I didn't have to. Aaron wanted to kill him for what he did to me. I will tell you what happened if you can calm down enough to listen." She puts her index finder to her lips indicating she's going to be quite. I tell her all about what happened, the guy in the bar putting his unwanted hands on me, Aaron arriving to get me just in time, saving me and taking me to the hospital. I don't divulge too much information about what happened when he took me back to his home, just that he wants to take me on a real date. I would never break Aarons trust telling other people about his feelings, that's between us and I want it to remain ours.
"I can't believe you have finally met someone! Who would have thought it." I just roll my eyes at her. Danni helps me up from the couch as I go to my room to start studying. After two hours I'm in need of a break. I have a cup of coffee and put my earphones in, my favourite song comes on and I can't help but close my eye singing the lyrics at the top of my voice, "I found a way to let you in, but I never really had a doubt, standing in the light of your halo..."
"Alex?" The sound of my name and the tap on my shoulder makes me jump out of my skin.
"Shit! Danni you almost gave me a heart attack." She's laughing at me hysterically and she holds my phone out to me. I take it from her, I look at the screen and it displays 'Aaron Donavan' and 'Call Connected'. Shoving a still laughing Danni out of the room I place the phone to my ear "Hello?"
"Hey baby, how is my smart girl doing?" his raspy voice that I love fills the phone line.
"Everything has been going good, I'm just taking a break. What are you up to?"
"I had a business meeting and then I planned our date for Friday night." I can literally hear him smiling down the end of the phone. "And now I have been listening to my girl sing. I guessing you like Beyonce." The palm of my hand hits my mouth. Oh my god. I can't believe he heard me, this is beyond embarrassing. "You have a beautiful sweet voice."
"I really don't. I'm so embarrassed right now." I need to change the topic and fast. "So what will our date entail?"
"I know you're trying to distract me and you will have to wait and see, it's going to be a surprise." Ugh I hate not being able to plan ahead. "I know you're rolling your eyes. You are going to have to learn to give me the power and trust me. You're going to love it."
