"Nee! It's time to wake up!" A little boy popped his head inside the room, the scar across his left eye glittered in the morning sun.
The blond haired girl groaned as she glanced over to the clock.
"I'm coming Luke. Give me five more minutes." She threw the blanket over her head.
There were faint steps and somebody pulled the blanket away from her, the sun daggering into her eyes.
"Lucy you have exactly 15 minutes to be ready. If not, I'm leaving without you." Her older brother hissed and the sole thought of walking all the way to her new school made Lucy jump up.
"I'm going, I'm going." She groaned, stretching her back.
The two brothers just exchanged looks and left their middle sister to realize that there is life during the day too."So when do you end?" The oldest brother asked as Lucy opened the door on his car.
She looked at the clock. "After 3. I'll come home."
Before she could get out, her brother caught her hand.
"Lucy, you sure you'll be alright?"
Lucy gave him a small smile. "I'll be fine. Nothings really changed, did it?"
The look in her brother's eyes was enough for her to understand, that everything changed.
Lucy got out of the car before her brother could say anything more.
She looked up at the building in front of her, her new school, as she heard the tires squeal as her brother drove away.
Lucy could hear everything.
The jabber of other teenagers around her.
The first bell.
The sound of footsteps around her.
And the sound of her own beating heart.
She knew, half of the kids on this school could hear it too.
At least, those who possessed the Wolf gene.
Wolfs.
A hidden community in the world. Nobody outside them knew about it. They were faster, stronger, and smarter than any other person.
And yet, they had to stay hidden.
Some thought that it's not fair. That Wolfs should be able to openly live in the world, without the constant hiding.
That was one of the reasons, Lucy now stood in front of a new school.
A deep inhale, deep exhale.
And she went in."Gray!" Natsu barked as his Beta ran over to him, barely catching breath.
"Sorry Natsu. I had to drop off Nina." The raven-haired Beta said in between his heavy breaths.
Obviously, the Alpha just glared.
"Come on you two. If we don't want to be late, we sound move." The other Beta, a scarlet haired girl took them both around their shoulders.
A boy with long black hair smirked. "Unthinkable for the great Erza to come to school late."
Erza gave him a cold glare. "Well, someone has to think about the reputation one has Gajeel."
Gray laughed at her remark and the Alpha just glared.
"Stop your childish bickering."
They all shut their mouths, exchanging looks.
This happened every year.
This day, their Alpha would be mad, his senses on maximum, searching the new students, searching for an enemy that may come.
Or a rogue.
It was his purpose. It was, what he was born to do.
To protect them.
That's just the way it works with the Wolfs.Lucy sighted as she closed her locker.
This day was already so tiring.
And the footsteps that approached her, really didn't help.
"Hey, look at this! A new student?"
She glanced up just to see three older boys, probably seniors.
She could sniff it, hear it, see it.
They were normal humans.
Lucy just nodded and turned around to go away, but was stopped by a hand.
She ignored the urge to growl.
"What grade are you in?" Apparently their leader asked her.
She just stared in front of her.
Trying to keep her cool.
"Hey what's your name?" The second one asked.
Still no answer.
By now, people were starting to stop by, watching them and whispering.
"Is she deaf or what?" The third one asked as the first one grabbed her shoulder.
Annoyed, the blondie grabbed his wrist and threw him into the lockers.
The whole hallway became silent.
"What the fuck bitch?" The second one asked, slamming her into her locker.
"Who the hell do you think you are?!" The third one slapped her across her face.
Lucy just stared at them.
Inside her a furious battle was going on, her body just became a shell, now that nobody was in control.
Her wolf wanted to fight.
Herself wanted to lose.
So she just stood there.
Until she was on the ground. Getting kicked over and over again.
Not saying a word.
Cause deep inside she felt like she deserved every single kick.
She knew she deserved it.Natsu sniffed the air.
Something was not right. He never smelled this before.
It was either just a new student that came from a different pack, or a rogue.
One harmless, one dangerous.
His two Betas were always behind him.
Even now he could hear Erza's faint breathing and Gray's foot as he couldn't stay still. That was his biggest flaw.
Even though they were behind the corner.
Natsu knew he was Alpha since the day the Wolf chose him.
As the one carrying the Wolf gene, entered his or hers 15th year, a Wolf chooses them.
His soul was entered by that of an Alpha.
Since that day, Flame was his part and he was his's.
A sound of someone crashing into the lockers came from the other part of the hallway and Natsu sighed.
No matter what he heard or saw, he couldn't help anyone that wasn't in his pack.
He brushed his salmon hair. The only thing that connected him to his mother.
"Natsu. It's time to go home." A small built girl, his childhood friend and one of the Omega in his pack, Lisanna tucked on his shirt.
He gave her a faint smile and they went home.Lucy looked at her reflection in the mirror.
Pathetic was the only word she could use.
Her face was covered in bruises and her eye already started to swell up.
Was this really her?
If the old her saw her right now, what would she say?
And if she let Celestina to take over, what would she say?
Would she leave her?
Lucy was too scared to know the answer to let her Wolf form take over.
If the Wolf leaves you, that's the end.
You loose who you are.
You prove that you are not worthy.
That's just the way it works.
