Celestine

"Nee! It's time to wake up!" A little boy popped his head into the room, his golden hair glistening in the sun.
"Five more minutes." His older sister groaned and turned away from him, pulling a blanket over her face.
"Lucy your friends are here to pick you up!" Her mother shouted from downstairs.
The blondie was up from the bed faster than speed of light.
"Give me ten minutes!" She yelled back while sprinting to the bathroom.
"Watch it!" Her older brother barked at her as she almost knocked him down.
"You watch you big feet! And get the hell out of my bathroom!"
"You do realize we have more than one in this house right?"
"You do realize I don't care right?"
"You do realize you are 23 and arguing with your 15 year old sister about a bathroom in front of your 7 year old brother?" Their mom laughed as she held her youngest in her arms and went past them to her room.
The teenage girl just stung her tongue out at her brother and slammed the door behind her.
Her 15th birthday.
The day she is supposed to merge with her Wolf.
And Lucy overslept.
She sighed and quickly did her morning ritual while still thinking about today.
It was all anyone could think about.
The day they finally merge.
And as she took the last look into the mirror on her brown eyes, she smiled.

"What do you think? Beta or Omega?" Asked Jackal and Lucy laughed. "Wouldn't you be just happy to be a middle Wolf?"
"Never. I'm either a Beta or Omega I can feel it." He said and patted his best friend on his back. "Was thinking's about an Alpha before this one had his birthday."
The boy laughed and turned his head to his friends.
Wraith.
The Alpha of his generation in this pack.
He was someone everyone looked up to.
A true born leader even before the merge.
No wonder an Alpha chose him.
"Well I honestly don't care about my standing." Said Aquarius as she hopped to them.
"Your birthday is in two weeks." Reminded her Lucy and she sighed. "I know. The only two freaks with the same birthday are you and Jackal."
"Twinsies." She smiled and the whole group laughed.
"Well, we already know there is one Alpha and one Beta, Ajeel. We still have one more Beta opening and three more Omegas, so I'll take my chances of having a standing." Said Jackal confidently.
"You do realize Omegas are even below middle Wolfs." Wraith patted his back.
"It's a standing, don't ruin this for me."
The whole group laughed once again.
They were all good friends, growing up together, looking out for each other.
They were supposed to be a pack and they acted like it since they could remember.
Little did those young mind knew, that the reality was about to hit them. Hard.

"When is this merge supposed to happen?" Asked Aquarius as they all hang out in their tree house, her dad built for them. Aquarius was the daughter of an Omega in the older pack and her family owned a huge property in the outskirts of their city.
"Well for me it happened exactly at the time I was born but Ajeel said his happened at noon. I guess it's individual." Said Wraith and he pulled Lucy to sit down on his lap as she yelped.
"Oh could you two be more disgusting?" Jackal rolled his eyes at his friends on which Lucy stung her tongue out at him. "Shut up, we're happy."
"Extremely." Smiled Wraith.
"You won't be when it turns out somebody else is your Luna." Said Aquarius's sister Flare, who being just three years younger than the rest of them, was still a to be member of the pack, as she joined them in the tree house.
Jackal and Lucy both glared at her and Aquarius threw a pillow at her but Wraith just laughed. "Somehow I doubt it."
"Guys." Aquarius stopped the incoming argument when she pointed to Jackal, who's eyes suddenly went white.
"It's starting." Said Wraith and jumped out of his spot to catch the falling body of his friend.
"Now what?" Asked Flare when they laid Jackal down on the couch.
"Now we wait. The time one takes with the merge is individual." Wraith explained.
Another body suddenly hit the floor and they all turned their heads to see Lucy with the eyes wide open as they emitted white light.
"Well not only they have birthday on the same day, they both start their merge at once. Freaks." Aquarius scoffed and both Flare and Wraith chuckled.

Lucy opened her eyes. Even such a small task felt like she had to use all of her strength to perform.
Where the hell am I?
"Your merge started." A voice came from behind her and Lucy turned around, but it was weird. It's as if she moved in Jell-O, her moved were slower and they required much more energy than usually needed.
"Who are you?" She asked as her eyes could find no one.
"You should know my name by now." The voice sounded as if it came just from behind her, as if the owner of the voice was breathing just down her neck, and yet Lucy could not see anyone.
"Are you my Wolf?"
"Do you even have to ask?"
"I don't understand what is happening right now." Confused, Lucy tried to move, but began to feel very tired very quickly.
"They told me that when I'll merge, the Wolf will simply enter my soul."
"Yeah well, I like to do things my way."
And suddenly Lucy felt like she was staring into a mirror. Her exact self was standing in front of her, smiling at her.
"Who are you?"
"I'm you." It felt weird for Lucy watching herself say those words.
"It's true that a Wolf simply enters your souls and merges but I do not like rules." Herself smirked and Lucy could not be more confused.
"I don't understand any of this."
"You don't have to. You will once we merge."
"Why is it taking so long?"
Herself gave her a mysterious smile. "We Wolfs choose who we merge with. I haven't chosen anyone for a long time before I found you. I won't to make sure that I chose correctly."
"Wait, you can choose not to merge with me? What then?" Lucy felt panic tightening her chest but herself just laughed. "Oh do not worry your pretty little head. I already chose."
"Than what?"
"Say my name."
"What? I don't know your name?" Puzzled, Lucy felt so confused, while herself just stood there smiling, her eyes wide.
"You do. Say my name."
And then it hit her.
Why they looked exactly the same.
Because they were the same.
They were one.
And suddenly Lucy knew her name.
And as Herself smiled and connected their foreheads by cupping her cheeks Lucy felt an immense power flowing into her and she said her name.
"Celestine."

Lucy gasped for air as her body sprung forward, held down by Wraith. "Easy, easy."
She struggled to breathe for few moments as her body was getting ready for the first turning.
"Make space." The three of them moved backwards as Lucy's whole body broke, undergoing this change for the first time.
The pain was gone sooner than Lucy thought it will be, and suddenly she was staring into grey eyes of the Wolf in front of her who tilted his head as their eyes met.
Lucy was still adjusting to her new senses, so she didn't even realize the gasps that came from everyone's throats.
It was only when she looked into Jackal's eyes once more, that she realized why.
That she realized why her merge was different.
Why was Celestine so different.
She stared into the reflection of her own yellow eyes.
The sign of an Alpha.
Celestine was an Alpha.
