Happy birthday, Bayley!

Bayley's POV:

I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring off in my ear. Groaning, I slammed my hand down on the annoying object and sat up. I rubbed my eyes and checked my phone to see the time.

10:13
Tuesday, October 2

I felt a huge smile grow on my face when my eyes landed on the day and date. Immediately, I jumped from my bed, opened the door and ran down the stairs to the living room where Maya and Raquel are more than likely at. "Guys!" I called out. "Guess what today-! " When I got to the living room, I expected to see my friends sitting on the couch while eating breakfast, but I was greeted with an empty, clean living room.

"Guys...?"

I the began to look all over the house to see if my friends were hiding. I checked the dining room, the bathroom, laundry room, their bedrooms.

They weren't there.

I called them, but it went straight to voicemail!

They either have their phones off or they are just ignoring me. Either way, I'm going to find out where they are!

I called they guys, but no one picked up, not even Hobi! I felt a lump in my throat as I began to think about what's going on. When my mind began taking a turn for the worst, I pushed it aside and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt.

The guys have practice today, so that may be why they aren't calling... Raquel and Maya might be doing some grocery shopping, so they should be back any moment!

Nodding to myself, I stood up and made my way back to my room, going to get dressed and treat myself, but I have my phone on me just in case they call or text me so I can ask them where they're at.

It's now 12 and I still didn't get a text or a call from them! I was at a little café down the street from our apartment and I ordered a beignet with an sausage, cheese, hash brown, ham stuffed omelet with a cup of coffee that was filled with sugar and crème.

At least the workers there wished me a happy birthday, and they gave me a discount on my meal, so it's a somewhat good day so far.

I sighed as I put down my coffee and looked down at my phone.

Nothing.

No texts, no calls.

Nothing but a black screen.

The lump in my throat began to grow as the feeling cane back again.

Did they forget my birthday?

I mean, my parents called me at about 11 and wished me a happy birthday and sent a gift that should be here after my birthday, so that means that my birthday wasn't forgotten.
