Chapter 9

Naira bowed her head down listening to him and then looked at him..

Naira : Kyun?? Tu khush nahi hai??

Kartik looked at her..

Kartik : Tujhe kya lagta hai.. apne dil se puch..

Naira : Dil kah raha hai ki tu khush hai.. par to phir tu upset bhi to hai na..

Kartik : Of course main khush hu kyunki tujhe yeh opportunity mila but main upset issiliye hu kyunki 8 din tak no mulakat.. do you even realize from the past 2 years hardly koi din hoga ke hum mile nahi.. holidays mein bhi we meet on alternate days na.. 8 days tak kaise main tere bina rah paunga.. ??

Naira's heart melted listening to him.. she was smiling but soon her smile vanished because she felt bad for Kartik..

Naira cupped his face with her tiny hands and his chin perfectly fitted there..

Naira : Buddhu hum phone pe baat karenge na.. roz! Audio call video call sab!!

He looked at her.. and she blinked assuring her statement..

Kartik : Hmm.. but still your presence is completely a different thing.. it isn't the same talking over the phone and meeting in person..

Naira : Arrey baba!! It's just the matter of 8 days.. even I will miss you .. probably more than you will do..

He let out a loud sigh..

Kartik : Upar se tu Kunal ke saath jaa rahi hai.. ajeeb hai.. accha sun tum dono ko alag rooms assign karenge na.??

Naira looked at him in amazement..

Kartik : Haan.. bol na?? Alag rooms na??

Naira : Obviously Kartik, college authorities yeh sab ka toh khayal rakhenge na??

Kartik : Hmm.. par will he be able to take care of you.. tujhe sambhalega kaise.. tere tantrums n all.. aur agar..

Naira : Aur agar Kya..??

Kartik : Woh tere saath misbehave to nahi karega na??

Naira stood up listening to this..

Naira : Kartik!! Woh dost hai humara.. tu aisa kaise soch sakta hai?? Dimaag kharab ho gaya hai??

Kartik : Tch! I m just worried yaa.. accha thik hai fine! Main nahi bolunga aisa kuch aur sochunga bhi nahi.. bass??

Naira nodded..

Naira : Kuch puchu tujhse??

Kartik : Hm..

Naira : Tu itna pyaar karta hai mujhse?

Kartik's eyes moved towards her then he tilted his head too cutely..

Kartik : As if you don't know ki main kitna pyaar karta hu tujhse..

She grinned as much as she can..

Naira : I do know.. was just asking..

Naira was now sure that Kartik too had fallen for her.. it was something more than friendship.. Naira decided to tell him about her feelings as soon as she comes back from the trip because if now only she tells then it will go all hotch potch if all of a sudden she comes up with this.. she will miss him at this delicate time.. she wants to see and feel his reaction.. she was too excited..

In those 8 days :-

Kunal and Naira went for the trip and they were successful.. successful as in all their presentation were just perfect and were able to impress the other colleges..
And they shopped and spent a lot of time together after their presentations.. they were so excited to explore the cities that they hardly took any rest except for the nights. And whole day they spent together..

Kunal started falling for her more.. he thought he would be able to control since he knows Naira's feelings about Kartik but feelings are feelings.. he couldn't and kept faaling for her more and more especially Kartik not being around..

Naira on the other hand made a great-great bond with Kunal in all these days.. no doubt they were already good friends.. but spending time with him all alone is kinda different.. they shared secrets and stuffs.. and as they say when you share your secret with someone the person becomes closer anyways.. it was the same with Naira.. but Naira was as well excited to just go back and confess her feelings to Kartik as soon as possible..

With all these going on, Kaira couldn't connect much with each other.. they did video calls but as the days were passed by they didn't interacted much.. and they thought the other must be busy and didn't try to connect.. sometimes genuinely and sometimes out of ego and jealousy..

Kartik and Natasha spent all the time together..

Naira not being present here, Kartik gave her more attention and time.. his crush, his likeness towards her increased more and he thought he started loving her.. he wanted to tell all these feelings to his Naira first but the connection gap between them irked him and he decided to tell Naira later and confess to Natasha first..

Natasha liked Kartik too.. more than a person she liked him because of his money and looks.. but she knew that there is some chemistry between Kaira.. she wanted Kartik in her life but at the same time her heart wanted Kaira to be together.. she conflicted within herself..

Naira was in flight returning back sitting beside kunal..

Naira (to herself ) : Finally , I will just go to college tomorrow and tell him everything.. woh mendhak to kuch karega bhi nahi.. I only have to take the initiative..

Kunal was also lost in his thoughts..

Kunal (to himself ): Kuch samjh mein nahi aa raha kya karu.. I shouldn't have fallen for her.. but now what.. ahhh!! Why is it so complicated man??

Kartik was lying down in his room, his hand folded behind his head..

Kartik (to himself) : Kal hi bata dunga Natasha ko.. I m sure she also likes me.. I have seen that spark in her eyes.. aur unn madam ko to time hi nahi hai apne best friend ke liye.. anyways woh sunegi to khush ho jaayegi.. she's retuing tomorrow only.. it's great.. I will surprise her with this news..

Natasha was lying and thinking hugging a side pillow..

Natasha (to herself) : Urghhh!! What should I do?? Mujhe pata hai Kartik has something for me.. aur Naira nahi thii to it increased.. but I shouldn't use him for my benefits.. he's a nice boy I can't play with his feelings.. I do like him but not like that.. oh god.. why are feelings so complicated..!!
