My relationship with Alex wasn't official yet, we had already gone on several dates and so far they've been fun. I couldn't deny that I had strong feelings for him and with each date he takes me on they get stronger.

We were walking back to my house after going on a date. It was peaceful and quiet, you could hear the crickets in the grass and faintly hear the leaves rustling in the wind. It wasn't an awkward silence, but a peaceful one.

As we made it to my front door. I turned around and said, "Thanks for tonight, I loved hanging out with you,"

"Me too, but Y/n, can I ask you something?" Alex asked rubbing his neck. I nodded my head to tell him to carry on with what he was saying.

"Well, I was wondering if you'd like to, uh, be my girlfriend?" He asked fiddling with his fingers and moving from one leg to another. I looked at him shocked I didn't expect him to ask me that. I must have been staring at him for a while because he started to walk away with his head hung low. I ran up to him a put my hand on his forearm and turned him around to face me. He turned around but still looked at the ground. I put my hand on his cheek and made him look up to me. His eyes were glossy, tears brimming his eyes. I looked at him admiring his features before I attached our lips together. His lips moved against mine, slowly. 

"I'd love to be your girlfriend" I admitted as I pulled away from the kiss.

After that I invited him inside and he ended up staying the night.
