Chapter 8 Meet the Pack

Zoe POV

After he let me go, he led me out of my room and down the stairs.

"Where are we going?" I asked, my breath still taken away from the warm embrace.

"Oh we're going to meet my pack," he said.

"Wait.... What do you mean YOUR pack?" I questioned

Oh yeah did I not tell you.... I'm the Alpha of this pack...."

"Um let me think...NO! That 'Tiny' detail was not mentioned in the conversation we had just a couple of seconds ago," I practically screamed.

If he is Alpha, which means that he must have a Luna. Dang it! My heart has been broken by two Alphas in less than a week! I guess the whole me and Zander thing could have never happened anyway.

He was well...gorgeous! And I was well... Me! The lowly ugly omega. Well I might as well put on a brave face. Even though I will probably be mate less forever, we can still be friends right? I mean maybe his Luna is nice. Well there is only one way to find out.

"Are you ok?" Zander asked me in a concerned voice.

"Yeah, I'm" I said, wiping the tears that had been pouring down my face.

He pulled me along as we descended the stairs. "Wait until you meet the pack. They are going to love you!" Zander exclaimed with such enthusiasm I felt like I needed to believe him.

"You better not be using you Alpha tone on me!" I playfully said.

"What me, I would never do that to you." He said with an innocent face

Great............. I thought. He is the perfect gentlemen. He is kind, funny, considerate, and observant (a couple of things that some guys will never learn how to be). Sadly, he already has a mate. She must be perfect if she was his mate. Enough with the pity party, as my best friend always said, Put your best face forward and ignore those haters, cause one day you're going to be a famous singer and they're gonna be the ones cleaning your dressing room. I have always wanted to be a singer. It has always been my lifelong dream. How was Anni anyway? Did anyone even notice that I was gone? Well I am probably better off here.

As soon as we got down the winding staircase, Zander pulled me into what looked like the kitchen.

"Everyone!" he announced, “This is Alpha ZANDER making an announcement.

Everyone paused to give Zander a strange look. I wonder why? That didn’t stop him though.

 "Meet the newest member of the Golden Moon Pack. Her name is Zoe."
