When I texted you those three words;
I
Like
You
I had no idea I was asking for my heart to shatter.
Your reply;
Sorry,
You're
A
Nice
Smart
Girl
But
I
Don't
Like
You
Like
That,
Made me think think two things.
One:
The girl you dated and kissed in front of all of us on the last day last year,
A pretty gymnast with a heart as black as tar,
Was perfect to you.
And yet the "nice, smart" tall brunette,
Wasn't good enough for you.
Two:
Girls like me,
Don't
Get
Sweet
Guys
Like
You.
We get the
cast offs,
Not the catches.
This is how a heartbreaks;
T h r e e
W o r d s
I
N o w
R e g r e t.
