The parade was in full swing by the time the Exwires had reached Rins cafe, which was closed for the parade. When they finally reached Rin and Bon, Shima started squealing, and screaming about how good they looked.
They both had Pride flags painted onto their cheeks, and matching shirts. Rin had a pansexual flag painted on his cheeks, while Bon had a bisexual flag on his. Their shirts said, something to compliment the others.
Rins shirt said in big curvy letters;
'Tell Me It's A Phase One More Time And I'll Makeout With My Boyfriend.'
While Bon's shirt, in big blocky letters said; 'He'll Do It. And I Won't Stop Him.'
While Shima and Shiemi fawned over the shirts, Yukio tried not to stare at Rin.
The cheers grew louder as music started to play. Rin and Shima started belting out the lyrics of the song with ease.
"If you're gay then you're gay!"
"Don't pretend to be straight!"
The teens had a good time, partying and laughing along with everyone else in attendance, they danced and ran and jumped and cheered till their throats were hoarse.
Cause we're all somewhere in the middle. We're all just looking for love to change the world!

Yukio laughed too, but his heart wasn't in it. How could it be? He watched his eldest brother have the time of his life, he watched his brother smile with ease, like ye weight of abandoning his family wasn't there. And that hurt Yukio the most. Thinking about how easy it was for his brother to just leave him and their father alone.
After the parade ended and after everyone got down from their 'Pride High', as Shima had called it, they all headed back to the cafe. They met Zack and the twins there, Zack's face was dolled up in makeup, his eyeshadow was rainbow, and his jacket was a white with Pride flag pins all over it. The twins had gone for a color scheme, purples, pinks, and blues all over them.
While the rest of them were laughing and trading stories from the days events, Yukio dragged Rin into the kitchen to confront him.
"So, what's up Yukio-San?" Rin asked jovially, wiping his hands on a towel after cleaning his face off.
Yukio clenched his fists, his back to his brother, he growled, surprising Rin.
"Whoa there, you alright? Do you need-"
"How could you?" Yukio whispered brokenly, his voice cracking. Rin's eyes narrowed.
"I'm sorry, you're going to have to be more specific, how could I what?" Rin asked, his voice getting an edge to it. Yukio took a deep trembling breath.
"I know that you know who I am Rin." Yukio said hoarsely. Rin glared.
"What-"
"Stop avoiding it Rin!" Yukio yelled, Rin didn't so much as flinch, so Yukio continued.
"You'd recognize me no matter what! I know you would! So stop pretending you don't," at this point the Exwires and cafe patrons were watching this go down.
"The Rin I know wouldn't dance around this! He'd face the problem head on, fists up and ready for a fight! He'd snap at the first signs of a fight! He wouldn't abandon his family! He wouldn't abandon me!" Yukio screamed, as he started to sob. Faster than anyone could blink, Rin was hugging Yukio to his chest, and rubbing his back soothingly.
"Why Nii-San?"
They all froze, it couldn't be...
Rin sighed tiredly.

            "I'm sorry Yukio."
