Chapter 1

(Saphira's POV)
So I guess you now know a small bit of my backstory, it took a few years of practice to finally discover that I can travel across the multiverse. I didn't exactly have a choice as eventually Sector 7, a secret government organization, began trying to hunt me down when they got wind of my presence (yaaay). So you guessed it, I decided to leave, and by leave I mean go to a completely different world and to be exact, the TitanFall 2 universe.

(3 Years later)

I made sure to transfer the money I had into credits, no of course I didn't just waltz into a store and slapped some outdated currency asking to transfer it into credits. I may or may not have hacked my way into getting enough credits to get to a colony world and get a house. I lived a pretty simple life for a year before the IMC came to my colony, destroying it and killing everyone there, only me and a few others escaped in shuttles.

From that point on I decided to enlist in the Militia as a rifleman (or rifle-women, whatever you prefer) 'what you don't think that for all those years I had to evade sector 7 that I didn't get combat training?'. Thankfully my years of training on my own world paid off, I got my position as a rifleman fairly quickly compared to most and was assigned to the James Mcallen. Things started moving at a slow pace after that, I kept a low profile as to make sure what I am is not discovered, who knows how commander Sarah Briggs will react to having a 'celestial' on board. (That's all I could think of don't judge XD, no Saphira does not qualify as a meta human).

Since I was above the average skill level that a normal rifleman has (That's an understatement), one of the pilots stationed on the Mcallen took notice. Captain Tai Lastimosa, a veteran pilot to be precise.

I had just returned from a simple recon mission and was beginning to retire to my small but homey living quarters when I heard my name being called behind me. All I could think right now was '...did I do something wrong, I seriously hope not' I thought nervously.

"Rifleman Rose?"
'Omg no way'

I turned around and and stiffly saluted, trying not to show how nervous I was to be face to face with Captain Lastimosa. "At ease Rifleman" he said with a slight smile. I lowered my hand slowly, staring at him with slightly wide eyes. "Captain Lastimosa, I-it's an honour sir but to what do I owe the pleasure?" I asked with uncertainty and slight excitement. He gestured for me to walk with him as he turned around with a slight chuckle.

As we slowly walked down the hallway I sent him a questioning glance, curious as to why he would want to talk to a simple rifleman as myself. "Rifleman Rose, you aware that your skills in combat have exceeded the average skills necessary to enlist in Pilot training correct?" He asked sending a questioning glance back at me. "Yes sir I have" I replied with the slightest hint of uncertainty, 'Is this going where I think this is going?'. "Than why have you not yet enlisted for pilot training Rose? You are more than qualified" Lastimosa said with slight surprise in his tone.

"I.. haven't gotten around to it sir, I believed I needed more time.."
He stopped and so did I as I turned around to face him.
Lastimosa sighed and shook his head with a smile pulling at his lips, "Now that just won't do Rifleman, now how would you like if I personally start training you?" He said in a dead serious tone.
I was just wide eyed for a split second before I replied a bit excitedly "It would be an honour sir!" I was practically doing flips at the back of my mind 'I swear this better not be a dream' I thought.
"Good, training starts 0500 tomorrow, don't be late" Lastimosa said as he nodded to me and began walking towards the Titan bay. As I turned to get to my quarters I couldn't help but just mutter "Yes!" to myself as I went. 'I guess this is where the campaign begins huh' I thought as I smiled to myself, this is going to be interesting.

Wow sorry for the long wait guys, took a bit to think of how this first chapter should go, things are starting to pick up to something more familiar so stay tuned :D
