Chapter 4

(Saphira's POV)
As I began to wake up, my senses slowly returning, I woke up with a start to find a prowler trying to drag me away. Yelping as another right beside me tried to scare the other one off, they just had a dominance dispute before the one to my left backed off. Just before it tried to lunge at me BT shot at it with his XO-16 chain gun. The prowlers ran off scared at the hulking metal giant, I quickly got up and ran over to BT and Lastimosa, extremely worried. Seeing BT weakly got up before falling down, only confirmed my fear of his and Lastimosa's condition.

Running up in front of BT I let out a shaky breath as BT's hatch began to de-pressurize and open. Lastimosa fell out after, coughing and wheezing, he looked extremely weak.

I quickly got down beside him, already shaking, knowing what was about to happen. His breathing was laboured and shallow, he didn't have much time left.

"Nononono..." I said quietly, my helmet was already off before, so my long hair was covering most of my face. Tai began to speak with difficulty, "BT... transfer authorization to new pilot... Link.. Brav—*coughing*...Bravo-Tango, Seven-Two-Seven-Four." The last few words were just above a whisper at this point. I could barely hold it together as he reached up to grab my shoulder. A pained look on his face as he knew just as much as I did that he didn't have much time. "Saphira, take my Titan. Use my helmet and my jump kit." "Nono Tai no, please don't do this, stay with me I'm begging you!" I had tears streaming down my face at this point, he was like a father figure. I couldn't bare the fact that he was dying, quickly. "This is the real thing Rose. You did good, I'm proud of you." His last words he said with a pained but still present smile. His hand slowly went limp, his head falling as well, he was gone.
Sobs raked through my small frame, my whole body shaking, my mentor, the person I looked up to, my friend, was gone. Slamming my fist on the ground with a yell, I slowly got up.. leaving to collect sandstone to bury him. It was the least I can do, it's not a proper burial, but it's better than leaving him to the prowlers.

As I placed the last rock down, I decided to do something special.. something I haven't done for a long time. I shape-shifted into a new dragon form.

(This is the very dragon that I got the name 'Saphira' from, she's from the book/movie called 'Eragon')

Slowly waking to where Lastimosa's burial sight is, I let out a long and extremely hot breath of air. The rocks began crystallizing into glass, a little something I learned from one of my childhood favourite movie. "Now time, cannot ravage him" my voice echoed with a sad tone. Lastimosa could be faintly seen within the now crystal clear rocks, it was a much more fitting burial for him. He deserved it.

Sighing as I slowly shrunk down to my original form, biotics fading from my body, I placed Lastimosa's helmet atop my head, codes flashed on the visor.

I let out a small laugh, yeah of course it doesn't know when I was born, technically I should have died from old age a while ago, guess I'm like Steve Rogers now. Besides.. I can't exactly die from old age anyway.
The messages on my HUD continued

I walked up to BT, my helmet scanning him

"Damn" I muttered, possible energy locations began popping up on my HUD, only one was a match, it was located in one of the fallen ships from the battle. Looks like I'm on my own for now...
