All or Nothing (The 100 Fanfiction)

The Thunder Rolls -3-

As we continue on the trail into the Eastern outskirts of Polis, the light showers begin to become a light rain. The wipers notice that the windshield is beginning to obstruct Emori's vision for driving. She pulls over the Rover and Monty does a check on everyone.

"Is everyone still good. No bathroom breaks, stretch your legs anything?" He asks us.

"I'm good." Replies Clarke.

"No thanks Monty." I answer back.

"I need to jump out." says Murphy.

He opens the door to leave, but a tree falls behind the Rover. Blocking our ability to reverse in case something happens ahead of the Rover.

"Jesus. Had I known Earth didn't want me, I would of asked my keepers to just hang me, or burn me at the stake." exclaims Murphy.

"Bellamy, did you get the Chainsaw from the Workshop?" I ask with caution. He was tense when we left, so I'm on the Defensive at the moment.

"No. I was too focused on dealing with other things in Arkadia that I forgot to grab it." He says back. I'm surprised that he didn't snap back at me.

"Good thing I brought my Axe. I sharpened it before we left, so it should go through it like a hot knife through butter." I finish.

"Well then who's going to cut it and move it?" Asks Clarke.

"I wouldn't do that now." Says Raven.

"Why not?" We all ask her.

"Remember the Satellite dish we had on the Ark. To warn us about incoming Solar Waves?"

"Yeah?"

"Well it also tells the weather for the day. I got it linked to the On-Board Computer. This thunderstorm the Prophet was telling us about in Polis is worse than that. This one has extreme winds of up to 156 kilometers an hour. Heavy downpour of 97 milliliters of rain every half hour, not to mention that debris flying across the open plains will damage the Rover, as well as extreme lightning strikes. The trees will withstand this, so will the ground. But anything like the Rover or Arkadia is going to be a target for Lighting. Same with anyone here with Metal in their clothes, weapons or tools."

Suddenly a loud bang and blue flash startled me. I seen old videos of what the storms before 2052 were like. Powerful and enough to strike fear into the hearts of many. This one is worse than them all. 

"I got a feeling that it isn't just a normal thunderstorm. I think it's a Category Four Hurricane Raven." I say to her.

"I should've known. I forgot to refresh the feed. Thanks for reminding me Cole." she replies back.

The thunder gets louder. Like if it's a huge cannon exploding over our heads. Trying to scare us into the open. To be assaulted by heavy rain, lightning strikes, and sound. Imagine that. Actual weapons that use sound as their Ammunition rather than Ballistics. That is something I don't want to deal with. EVER.

As the night grows upon the Forest, The storm worsens. The data is showing that this is going to last a week. Maybe even a week and a half. This is the worst time to be going to the Mansion, but we have to keep going. The wind will still keep the rover working as it can run on wind power thank god. I can see a sign up ahead. One from the Old World. Manhattan- 186 Miles. 

"Check that out. We're close to the Dead Zone." Murphy says to all of us.

"One thing to remember is that the Bombs caused some major terrain shifts. So be careful  where you steer the rover." I tell Emori.

"I got this don't worry. We should have a repair kit in the back with you and Bellamy. Besides, didn't you take Mechanics and Engineering on the Ark?" she asks me.

"I did and I passed as second highest in the class. Raven was first." I say to her.

"Emori, I don't think we packed the repair kit. It's sitting in the workshop back at Arkadia-"

SMASH!

I awaken to see a blue hazy sky, covered with small clouds. That's weird because the storm should've still been here. I can feel some grass. Soft and light to the touch. Leaning forward to a sitting position I see something ahead. A City. Snow capped mountains behind it, and a river below.
