I pry my eyes open and sit up in a damp bed. Frantically jumping out I spy my door is slightly left open. Tip toeing down to the kitchen My dad is cooking breakfast. "Dad you haven't cooked breakfast in ages; Is something wrong?" He glanced over at me as if he wanted to say something but he couldn't. "Darling, I think our kingdom is in danger. Take my horse, Penelope and ride towards that red speck. Make sure you don't get hurt darling; Make sure you come back." He said as if he splurged out all of his thoughts into my face. "Alright dad, I'll be on my way now." I sprint to my room with joy. I have never been able to ride my dad's horse before. I chuck on my dusty armor that grandma gave me.

I step foot out of the castle and stand there letting the hot breeze sway me side to side. "I haven't stepped foot out of that castle in ages!" I think I just accidentally shouted that out loud. I look around at the thriving village and notice that it isn't so thriving anymore. I just see over 3,000 faces staring right at me. I pull my rain coat that was over top of my armor over my head hiding my face as I walk across the draw bridge in shame. It probably made me sound like a vampire that was no longer a vampire.

I reach out for Penelope just managing to grab her rope and pull her gently towards me. She was hiding at the very back of her pen; I wouldn't of been able to get to her. I open the gate to the pen and let Penelope stride out. Her white mane blows in the wind. I jump on her white pearly back. She lets out a slight neigh as she starts to gallop towards the red speck.

I look back at the kingdom noticing it is very far away. I can barely see it anymore. I start to feel sweat drip down my spine. This summer has been the hottest summer yet. The red speck is getting larger and larger and somewhat I'm getting hotter and hotter.

(Twenty minutes later)
I yank on Penelope's reins warning her to stop. The red goo slowly pouring towards the realm. I'm drenched in sweat. Penelope struggling to breathe. She backs up as it moves another inch forward. I now know exactly what this mysterious red speck is and why this summer is so hot.
