I gasped aloud. "What!? How could they... why..?"

Aurora looked like she felt bad for me. I could understand why though. She was very caring for her friends, and she just had to break it to me, that Cindi's parents did not like me at all.

"I'm sorry Constan." She said to me. "I was shocked to hear it too. But she said that her parents where not supportive of your relationship, and that they actually ended up trying to forbid Cindi from seeing you anymore."

I was a bit hurt from the news. They didn't want me seeing her? They never even met me, and they already decided that I was bad for Cindi?

I shook my head. "That's not fair of them! They can't decide anything till they properly met me!"

Aurora nodded. "I know. But Cindi keeps saying how they only want what's best for them, and not for her. She talks about you; saying really nice things about you, but it never changes their minds."

I wasn't happy before I heard all this. But now, I was not going to be happy for a while.

I huffed with an unhappy look on my face. "Well they are just jerks then."

Aurora's eyes widened. "Constan! Don't say that about them! You don't know their motive for not being supportive of the relationship!"

I looked away. "Still though. No wonder she doesn't like her parents..."

Suddenly I felt something smack my right cheek.

I looked and saw that one of Aurora's ribbons had slapped me across the face.

"Constan... I know this is hard to deal with, but acting all bitter won't solve anything. It makes you seem like a jerk yourself."

I tried to get angry with Aurora, but then ended up feeling bad. She was trying to make the best of the situation, and I was making it worse.

I looked down in shame.

Just then the door opened, and Tendo walked in. "I'm home!"

Aurora breathed in and exhaled as she stood up and walked to him. "Hi Tendo!"

I looked up at them to see him smile at her. "Hi Aurora. How are you doing?"

She smiled back. "Good! I've been waiting for you for a while. Constan and I were just chatting a little."

He looked over to see me. "Oh. Well good! What were you talking about?"

She shrugged. "Nothing much."

I then shut out their conversation to think things over.

Cindi's parents weren't being supportive of our relationship. The reason for that was unclear. Yet they still did not even attempt to work things out.

They also automatically began to hate me for no reason, except that I was with Cindi in an intimate relationship. She said some good things about me, but that didn't sway their state of mind.

Who knows how it was affecting Cindi? It could be so horrible for her right now. She could be suffering, and not let it on.

And what was I doing? Getting all upset about it, without actually trying to help.

That's what I was going to do: help to the best of my ability. I wouldn't let our relationship end without a fight. I was going to show her parents that I'm a good flareon; and that they could trust me with their daughter.

Perhaps, I would arrange a time within the next few days to meet with her parents to talk it all over.
