(P.S. if you have read my other book, "The Big Book of GhostBlossom, then you already know all this stuff, but there are some new human versions) so, about the king dice situation. king dice kinda processed that they were just kids, and didn't go as hard on them as he could've, but hard enough to look like he was trying (what i meat by that, is that instead of throwing all the king's court bosses at them like he could've done, he did them one at a time.) and also, the boys were taking a quick break from fighting the devil, and king dice came up to them and explained. he also told them just how to beat the devil. Afterwards the devil knew about it and was livid. they got in a huge argument, and king dice quit. he stays at Rumor's hotel, but when elder kettle was sent to the hospital after collapsing in the living room, king dice was there to help comfort the boys, and give them an adult chaperone. the nurse let dice and the boys in to see him, but when elder kettle got a chance to talk to dice alone, he handed him his house keys and said "take it" dice was confused, and asked what he meant, elder kettle said, "someone has to take care of my boys, you're a good man, but it trusted you once when i shouldn't of, now let me make it up for trusting you when i should." and then he died. what he meant by the trusting thing, elder kettle was 75 when he died, and 58-61 when it happened, and it was only 2 years before cuphead and mugman were born. he loved gambling, and king dice, who was 8-10 at the time, (26 now) was one of his closest friends. now that sounds really weird, but dice was extremely mature for his age. one day, kettle was on such a winning streak, that king dice was able to manipulate him into playing one, last, harmless game. but kettle didn't know who it was against. elder kettle put all the money he had on the table, and king dice said, "oh no kettle, he won't want your money, he has endless amounts. he wants something else." elder kettle, thought what other than money could he take from me? so, like an idiot, he took the game. of course it was the devil blah blah blah he lost his soul, yeah been there done that. ok, so that day, his daughter was with him in the casino so, the walked him home and explained to her husband what happened. A year later a solution came up. (note that this was the same year that cup and mugs were born.) there was going to be a war between the isles, and the reward if you won was more land and your whole isle's soul contract's back for anyone who lost them, the only other way to get it back, is instead of going out and fighting yourself, if you sent 2 representatives, and they die for you. so, of course cup and mugs parents went to the war, it lasted another whole year but when it was finally over, elder kettle walked into the kitchen and his soul contract was sitting on the counter, and his daughter and son-in-law never returned. elder kettle was never forgiven himself for that. ALSO this story will be all in human versions, here are some examples;
