We heard a light knock at the door, “Can we come in?” a voice broke our series of compliments towards Ginny and her dress, it was Mr Weasley. Molly acted like it was an alien invasion.

“Who’s with you?!” she screeched “Is it Harry?! Go quickly, Ginny go and change!”

I couldn’t help but laugh as Ginny ran up the stairs as quickly as she could while trying not to destroy the dress.

“Calm down dear!” Mr Weasley said, raising his hands in defence. “Harry is here, with Ron, but he’ll stay out here, if he needs to.”

Molly looked around drastically, “It’s okay, she’s gone!”

Harry’s face looked shocked as he walked in, Ron’s held simply amusement. The boys walked over and sat themselves on the sofa opposite to Andromeda and I, Harry instantly asking Andromeda how she was and if he could have some quality time with his godson. She smiled at him joyfully and happily handed over a gurgling Teddy. Ron and Hermione sat together, his arm carelessly hanging over her shoulder, both were smiling brightly. When Ginny finally came back down the stairs, she was looking a little flushed, “It’s only you two?” she asked, a little indignantly.

“I’m sorry if we aren’t good enough, sister!” Ron said, his eyes sparkling cheekily, it reminded me of George.

“Bill, Fleur and George will be joining us later, Ginny, if that helps.” Mr Weasley informed her, as if he was talking to a child. At the sound of George’s name my ears pricked and my heart skipped slightly, odd, that shouldn’t happen.

After acknowledging that there were more family members to come, Ginny took a seat next to Harry and began entertaining Teddy with a game of peek-a-boo. You could see in Harry’s eyes that he loved her, the way they practically poured adoration and the way that they took in every inch of Ginny’s face told me that he wouldn’t want to be with anyone other.

Suddenly, Molly voice cut through the general chit chat. “Ooh you should see her dress Harry, it’s divine!” She cooed.

“I thought I wasn’t supposed to see it…” he replied, his voice confused.

“Well, of course you’re not dear; you should just know that you will never see anyone more beautiful!”

“She would look beautiful anyway, even if she was wearing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt.”

Groans and chants of ‘ahhh’ filled the room, all of us laughing at Harry’s cheesiness.

“Oh but dear, she looks like a Goddess, her dress fits like a glove-" Mrs Weasley carried on relentlessly.

“Mum, maybe you shouldn’t say much more!” Ginny butted in, promptly covering Harry’s ears affectionately and pretending to deafen him from Molly’s adoring comments.

General conversations soon started up again and Andromeda, after not speaking for a considerable amount of time, began conversation with me. “Harry and Ginny are going too fast.” she said bluntly.

I looked at her in disbelief  "After everything that has happened, everything that they, and everyone else has been through, this is perfectly normal, if they weren’t committed to each other they would have broken up a long time ago," I sighed "They are in love- and they are perfect for each other.”

After a brief silence Andromeda chuckled slightly “A bit like another two people I know.”

"Who do you mean?" I asked her, confused, yet eager to know who she was talking about.

"Have you not seen the way George looks at you?"

My heart stopped briefly, I shook my head and stared at my knees "I'm not good enough for George" I whispered.

Andromeda looked at me in disbelief, "Lets take a walk" she said taking a quick glance back at Teddy, who was still gurgling Harry's arms, and got up to leave. I quietly followed, no one noticed our absence, everyone was chatting happily about the wedding and Mrs Weasley was still letting on too much about the dress.

A soft breeze was blowing as we walked into the garden, "What gave you the idea that you are not good enough for that boy, Athena?" Andromeda said, staring at me in shock and amusement, it was a sort of motherly gesture, as if she was about to start assuring me that it would be okay, that I was good enough. My heart stopped momentarily, there were things I needed to tell her, things that I should have said a long time ago, memories and actions that have been slowly knawing away at me, but I just dismissed them, refusing to acknowledge their existence, even to myself.

My voice barely came out as a whisper "I've killed people."

Andromeda stopped in her tracks and looked at me, horrified. My chest tightened and tears pricked at my eyes, "I was brutal and cruel, I used a killing curse on a person that was chasing me and struck a snake on another, I took his wand and left him defenceless and alone." Then the tears started rushing down my cheeks and loud sobs escaped my mouth. There was a brief silence.

"Were they deatheaters?" was all Andromeda could say, a slight desperation showing in her eyes, as if she was hoping that was the answer, praying that the people I had killed weren’t innocent.

I nodded.

She took my hand into hers, holding them tightly, staring into my eyes, as if she was trying to give me some assurance, "Then you are not alone, a lot of people killed others during that war, something they wouldn't do normally they tried-"

"It doesn't make it right" someone behind us cut in, an all too familiar voice “Why sink to the level of the people who killed so many others, friends, families, my brother, your daughter Andromeda?!"

Andromeda face contorted into a look of pain and grief. I spun around, and there was George, the signature grin was no longer on his face. Instead, his eyes were locked in a cold stare at my face, every muscle in his body was tense, his hands bunched into fists, I could feel my heart breaking. "I can't believe I let you into my home" he said looking straight at me, his voice hard and emotionless "A murderer."

And then I collapsed.
