They got out of the office, and wore light outfits, suitable for training and then got outdoor. They stood in the field in front of Kaito’s house to listen to Clay’s program. “Tucker and I won’t be in need for any extra training other than the plan itself, I never heard about someone practicing conflicts.” Clay started his speech, and started moving closer to them non-stop, as if he was a general in the army. He was using a lot of body language, and walking in an irregular path. “So, I will be coaching for Zack, and Tucker will be coaching for Kaito, Elsa could join their group as a spectator if she likes.” Clay continued. “So you will be just standing their watching us suffer? No training for you?” Kaito asked jealously.
Clay grabbed Kaito’s car keys out of his pocket, “Did you realize taking off your keys?” Clay asked, and Kaito was shocked from his action. “Then I am well trained. I grabbed your attention, and that’s exactly what I am doing tomorrow.” Clay followed up after Kaito’s silence. “First of all is a training for both of you, it will be a rivalry, a challenge. I hanged the ladder on the tree, as a stimulation to the vault’s height. You will have as much practice as you want, with Tucker and I still co-captains. You will need to climb up with the heaviest weights in the shortest time possible, the winner at the end on a best of three, will evade a paint ball shoot.” Clay called out, grabbing a paint ball gun from the ground.
Clay laid the gun back down, and continued speaking, “The second and last training, will be each one on his own. Zack with a tough car test, and Kaito on combats, then we will revise the plan and the rest of the day is free, to rest for the big day.” He finalized with a loud voice for excitement. “At least nothing was stolen from me.” Zack called out in sarcasm. Clay threw him his watch without looking at him savagely. Zack stared at his metallic watch, and gave some alternating, quick glances at Clay in shock. “Damn man, you are really the devil.” He claimed in astonishment. “Lets start the warm up.” Clay shouted and started running around the palace, and everyone was following him, trying to compete with each other.
They kept running, unaware of the time, no one asked how many minutes they ran, or how many minutes left, until Tucker kneeled forward, gripping his knees, and panting toughly, “Damn, is this a warm up or a season's final?” He asked funnily, trying to let Clay realize how much time they ran. Clay slowed down and looked at his sporty watch, “Alright, we can stop. Roughly twenty kilometres.” He said. They looked to him and at each other, shocked, but on the other hand proud. “Ok, now we are heading towards the ladder drill. Zack you can start with only ten kilograms extra.” Clay motivated Zack for the start. Zack tied a chain with a ten kilogram weight on his waist and started climbing the ladder, while Clay started the stop watch.
He started getting exhausted on the last steps, but he finally landed safely on the ground. “Two minutes, twenty-eight seconds, poor start Zack.” Clay said, downgrading Zack’s morals. “Kaito, your turn.” Tucker mentioned. Kaito tied the waist quicker, he was more zealous than Zack. “Mhhm... wow, one minute, fifteen seconds by Kaito.” Tucker shouted. They kept on practicing and breaking each other’s records, in an up and down competition, and their climb time started to decrease considerably. They remained training and resting for almost two hours, “Shouldn’t we be doing the final competition now?” Kaito asked furiously. “Are you ready Zack?” Clay asked. “As always.” He replied harshly.
Both of them stood next to each other, warming up in their places, and stretching their muscles. “Are you ready?” Tucker asked, rousing them. Kaito crackled his neck, and Zack stretched his arms, crackling his fingers. “Kaito, Go.” Tucker shouted, and turned on the stop watch. Kaito jumped on the ladder with the twenty kilograms weight tied to his weight, and climbed as fast as he could, he started sweating, and his face turned red, as if his veins were going penetrate his skin out. He climbed down rapidly, after reaching the top, and landed heavily on the ground. “fourty-three seconds, impressive.” Tucker claimed, staring at his stop watch shockingly. “Nice work Kaito, just remember you also need stealth, not just speed.” Clay mentioned, and Kaito ignored him.
Zack was standing readily, examining the ladder. “Ready Zack?” Clay asked enthusiastically. “Yup.” Zack claimed, and jumped right away, with the same weight as Kaito’s. He seemed much fitter than the first time, he switching between the blocks lightly, without any difficulty. He stepped down at last, “I don’t see much difference here, fourty-eight seconds. Maybe the paint ball thing is unnecessary. “That’s bullshit.” Kaito stated, grabbing the paint ball gun of the ground and emptied it all over Zack. Tucker couldn’t hold himself more from laughter, he was the first one to laugh, and soon everyone started laughing except for Zack. Even Elsa who shirked from laughing, caring for Zack’s emotional status, started laughing. “What’s wrong with you man?” Zack asked in umbrage. “I thought there was three fucking rounds.” Zack added. Kaito replied a smile, which followed episodes of unmanageable laughs, which forced Zack to laugh from his heart, while being knocked down on the ground, and multiple paint colours covering him totally.
They hardly managed to stop laughing, after almost tearing from laughter, “Go have a shower Zack, we will start the solo training with Kaito.” Clay stated. Zack headed towards the bathroom, covered in paint, leaving the rest behind. “Ok, I hope you caught your breaths Kaito, because the next step won’t be easy.” Clay mentioned. They moved a short distance for a place in the field, which was wider, and full of thick, moisty green, grass. Clay held his stop watch tightly, and looked at Kaito. “I want you to knock down Tucker, in five seconds.” Clay ordered. Tucker looked at Clay in shock, “Well, that’s not wha..” Tucker started speaking, but he was intercepted by Kaito slamming him to the ground in less than five seconds.
Clay looked closely at his brother on the ground, and then faced Kaito back up, with all the mixture of looks in his eyes, aggression, victory and triumph. “Whow, impressive. Well maybe it was that easy.” Clay mentioned. “Again, this time Tucker you know, try to fight back.” Clay spoke to both, Kaito and his brother. “Five seconds.” Clay continued. Tucker started running towards Kaito, trying to hold to his waist to take him down, Kaito evaded Tucker, and slammed him again. Clay looked at Kaito, “Six seconds.” He mentioned with a smile. Clay glimpsed Zack approaching them, through the large, glass door, which directed to the yard.
Clay looked at Kaito with a challenging, friendly look. “You think you are too strong?” Clay asked. Zack was already halfway through their spot. “Try taking the three of us down, thirty seconds.” Clay challenged Kaito. Kaito’s eyes widened, and a smile was eventually drawn on his face. “Challenge accepted.” He replied dramatically. Clay threw the stop watch to Elsa, and Zack had already reached them. “What are we exactly doing here?” He asked surprisingly. “We fight.” Clay answered. The three of them were standing in front of Kaito, and Elsa started the stop watch. They started moving closer to each other slowly, Tucker didn’t repeat the same mistake of running impulsively.
Clay tried punching Kaito, but he blocked it, and grabbed his fist. Tucker tried to seize the chance and kick Kaito from his back, but Kaito surprised Tucker with a high, back kick, reaching to his chest, causing him to fall on the ground. He started standing up Again, spectating, as Zack tried also to punch Kaito from the other side, and again Kaito held his grip. Clay and Zack thought at the same moment to punch Kaito’s face with their free hands, but he ducked and grabbed both of them to the ground. Tucker started running, dashing at Kaito, Clay got up quickly, but Zack remained on the ground. Kaito repeated the same trick, throwing Tucker over Clay, while he was still trying to stand up. Kaito looked at Elsa, she gestured by confirmation, that he succeeded in the challenge.
All of them started standing up, rubbing their hands and their clothes from the dirt. “I shouldn’t have showered yet.” Zack claimed sarcastically, while removing the dirt from his plain, white t-shirt. “Kaito, you are ready.” Clay mentioned, not just informing Kaito, but also praising him, and elating his morals, which for sure were needed to reduce his arisen aggression from the fights. “You can all go inside, just a final driving test with Zack, then we can start with the plan.” Clay informed them. They started turning their backs to Clay and Zack and heading towards the glass door. “And hey, great job all.” Clay said, inspiriting everyone. They glanced a look at Clay, and smiled, Tucker winked at him, and then followed Kaito and Elsa. “What do you mean by a driving test?” Zack asked. “You will see.” Clay answered, and frowned.
