The Witch & The Werewolf
I was bored, nothing to do so I decided to write. I hadn't planned on doing this chapter yet so it may be a little off. Its a little short, but this is all for now.
Ch. 17
[The Werewolf]
Pain, brilliant shots of pain sparked throughout his body, making something as simple as coherent thought impossible. Where he was he didn't know, he only knew he had to escape. He was shackled to the wall, silver chains making movement impossible, his mind wouldn't even process the urge to move, to be free of his restraints. His mind was foggy, his memory of how he'd ended up here gone, as though it never even existed. He couldn't think, breathing was a chore itself, but he needed to move, needed to get away, to help her. His mate, he needed to get to her, save her from himself. He would have snorted at the very thought if he knew it wouldn't cause him pain.
Footsteps echoed throughout his mind, making him suddenly very aware that he was not alone. Forcing his eyes open Farron stared back at his father, hatred causing red to tinge his vision. The need to break free and murder the bastard before him was overwhelming, but he couldn't move. He snarled when his father's hand lifted, as if to touch his cheek, as if trying to ease the pain that was clouding his mind. He'd known his father was a bastard, known that he would stop at nothing to see the Witches submit to his will, but he had never thought he was capable of murdering his own mate. True, he hadn't done it himself but did it really matter?
"Your mother deserved her fate, son, just as you deserve yours. Unless you help me, stop this foolishness and help me kill the whore that's brainwashed you." His father stared back at him earnestly, beseechingly, but Farron didn't move. He didn't utter a word, barely blinked back at the man that had sired him. Had he truly believe there was a part left in his father that would understand? That his father would be happy for him? He'd wanted to believe, god he had, but now he knew. He knew his father would stop at nothing to do what he felt was right. "Let me help you rid yourself of her, son, please."
He snarled, canines clashing together, the urge to shift, to kill, to spill blood was even greater when his father's hand touched his shoulder. He watched in sick satisfaction as his father's eyes filled with fear and he backed away, slowly, so slowly, watching the monster before him. The wolf in him was close to the surface now, demanding to be set free, to exact revenge on the man for daring to harm his mate and he wanted nothing more than to let it free. But he had to think clearly, he had to think of a way to get to Daniella before his impostor.
"Kai, should be in place by now, you know you're brother was always my least favorite, until now. That Witch will be dead before the night is over and then things will go back to normal." His father smiled sadly at him, turned on his heel and walked out of the door, slamming it loudly behind him. Was his father so insane that he actually thought things would ever be normal?
He pulled against the restraints, ignoring the pain of it, struggling to be free, to protect her. He had to protect her, if something happened to her now he'd never forgive himself. But he should have known, he should have realized when his twin brother had shown up that things were only going to escalate. Daniella wouldn't be able to tell the difference, fuck their own parents had been unable to tell the difference at sometimes. Their DNA was too close, their scents to similar and his brother knew him like the back of his own hand, no one would be able to tell the difference. If he didn't get to her soon she was as good as dead and it would be all his fault.
[Kai]
He frowned at the Witches and Fairy, a sense of guilt overcoming him. They didn't act like murderers but surely they wouldn't, it was after all how his father had said they'd managed to survive. He watched as Daniella stumbled toward the other witch, her arms going around her, hugging her tightly to her as tears slid down her cheeks. Something in him ached, warned him that he was making a mistake, but he ignored it. His father didn't lie, these three had helped his brother in killing their mother, his father had sounded so grief stricken that Kai had sworn revenge. He hated the man with a passion but his mother was another story, his mother had been innocent, she hadn't deserved to be killed.
The Fairy walked over to him, a frown pulling at his exotic features. All Faeries looked exotic, he reminded himself coolly, it was all apart of the ploy for them to fit in in a world that they didn't belong in. "I know who you are Kai, don't do this. Don't play into your father's hand like this, they had nothing to do with your mother's death or your mate." Kai, growled back warningly at him, watching the Witches from the corner of his eye. The strength of the truth of the Fairy's statement shocked him, but it didn't matter. Faeries were manipulative by nature one couldn't trust their word, no matter how badly they wanted to.
"Its too late for your lies, Fairy. My father wouldn't lie about this." He snapped at him, feeling his control diminish as the seconds ticked by. He'd lost everything in his life that had meant something, his mother, his mate and his brother. He had nothing left to lose so why did he hesitate, why did he rethink everything his father had told him in the phone call? Was his father really lying to him? Would his father be so cruel as to lie about this? He doubted it, he really did, or was it just wishful thinking that had him pulling the knife from his jeans and stabbing the Fairy before turning to the now very shocked Witches?
