A Second Chance In Love

"Babe" I called rubbing my fingers through Ethan blonde hair.

It's so soft and pretty, I love the way he relaxed when I play in his hair. His head lays comfortable in my lap while I massage his scalp causing him to moan a few times.

"Hmmmm" he answered

"Do you have brothers and sisters?" I asked since he avoid telling me about his family.

"Yes" he barely replied.

"When can I get to meet you're family?" Came my next question.

"Brook, can we talk about something else?" He snapped raising off my lap.

"I just think it's time for me to meet them now, you never want to talk about them.... Are we not serious enough?" I scoffed jumping off the bed.

"Goddammit Brook! Just drop it, my family is my business!" he snapped rudely.

I was speechless by his tone of voice towards me and hurt of what he just said. He met my family, so why can't I meet his. He bite on his lips holding back whatever he wants to say and I just shake my head. Gosh! I hate when we fight and its always when I asked about his family.

"I'm sorry I won't ask again" I mumbled walking out of the room.

"Babe I didn't me--

" I get it, its none of my business"

I locked myself in the bathroom and cried my eyes out.

I can't believe Ethan never told me he was twin, he never told me anything about is family other than they live in England. I hate to fight with him about meeting his family, so after the fight we had the last time, I never asked again even though I wanted to.

"He never told me" I choke out.

I feel the tears making their way in my eyes and I'm fighting hard not to breakdown in front of my boss.

"Maybe he had reason why he didn't tell you" he reply

"Like what?" I ask looking up on him.

"I don't know and I don't want to talk about him now"

"Please just--

" I have to go"

With that he left and I instantly break down. I just want to know where his grave is, so I could visit him and scream at him for all the pain he caused me. I know its silly to go scream at the dead but I'm just angry with him. I have to find out about his family this way.

I couldn't function good at work today so I take a early leave, it won't bother Logan since he hasn't been in his office since we talked. I went there a few times but he was not there, I feel bad bringing up his brother but I couldn't help it. He must suffer his lost real bad because he was his other half.

After picking EJ up from school, I decide to stop by  mom's. I need a distraction from all this. I can't believe I've finally find some family member for Ethan but how do I tell EJ his father is dead. Would he even understand?
