My eyes still close as my arms search for Brook warm body but her side feel empty. My eyes snap open and she wasn't there. Yawning and stretching, I make it off the bed and into the bathroom but still no sign of her.
"Brook!" I call looking down the hallway.
She must be with EJ, ever since that day at the park... She keep close to EJ and the scared look on her face ache my heart. I want us to be happy, with no problem and worries and with my dad's help, I will find Stone and get this over with.
"Good morning sir" Chris and Charles greets once I reach at the door.
I nod and let myself in EJ's room, he is here in bed with his teddy bear wrap up in his arms but no Brook. Where could she be?
"Dad!" EJ call and I bring my attention to him.
"Hey you" I smile sitting next to him on the bed. "Did you sleep well?"
"Yes dad, where's Mommy?" He ask rubbing his sleepy eyes.
"I don't know.... Wanna help me look for her?"
"Sure dad" he beam and jump into my arms.
We search all the rooms and corner upstairs and no sign of Brook. I asked the guards at EJ's room but they only said she went downstairs earlier. Downstairs isn't any luck either, I search all rooms but still no sign of her. My heartbeat increase of the thought of Stone kidnapping her. I said I will protect her and EJ with my life and I meant that.
"Where did mom go?" EJ ask again
"I'm not sure honey, but I'll go look for her while you eat your breakfast and play race car with Charles and Chris OK?" I say kissing his forehead.
"Ok dad"
I instruct Chris and Charles to look after EJ while I go check Pete to send out a search party for Brook. My heartbeat furiously in my chest and my head full of wicked thoughts of what I'll do to Stone when I get my hands on him. I can't loose her, I just got her back and I won't let stone hurt her. What if he already did?
"F**king hell!" I yell gripping the handle of the door. My bruise knuckles from punching the wall last night pain much.
As I open the door my eyes come in contact with her beautiful face, sweat form on her face but she is still looking beautiful. My heart slowly calm when I see she is ok. Her figure look prefect in her sports outfit....
"Hey" she say breaking my thoughts.
"Where the hell were you?" I snap at her.
"Jeeze Ethan! I just went for a run"
she march pass me and head up the lift which I quickly slide in before it close.
"You went for a run alone?" I ask calmly
"Yes" she reply walking out the lift and down to our room.
