Annabeth's POV
It was nearing dusk when I heard a small, barely audible knock on my cabin door. Frowning slightly, I got up to see who it was. Upon opening the door, I saw a small owl figurine with a note attached. The note read; "Meet me at the pegasi stables at dusk. Wear something comfortable. Love, Seaweed brain." I smiled slightly and carried the figurine inside, before I got ready.
Percy's POV
I watched Annabeth make her way over to me. I grinned at her. "You ready?"
"Yes, what for?" She asked after kissing me on the cheek.
"It's a surprise." I replied, leading her behind the stables. I slipped a blindfold over her eyes.
"Percy!" She exclaimed.
"Just, wait. You'll love it." I promised. I helped her onto the flying chariot that Will had let me borrow and we were off. Blackjack and another pegasus had agreed to take us wherever I wanted to go. Finally, the pegasi slowed before landing on the roof of a building overlooking Washington D.C. I took the blindfold off Annabeth, "Surprise." I grinned at her again. She looked at the view.
"Percy, the Lincoln Memorial-- What are we--" She asked, turning to face me. Her eyes widened at the picnic I had set up earlier.
"Would you care to join me?" I motioned to the picnic. She shook her head and sat down. I sat beside her.
"We're having a picnic on the roof of the Lincoln Memorial?"
"Sure, why not?" I shrugged, "What do you think?"
"It's pefect, seaweed brain." She smiled and kissed me.
