Rosalia
Pain, blinding pain pulsed through my body. A scorching heat in both my shoulder blades caused me to scream in shock, the adrenaline that was coursing through my veins was not able to keep up with what my body was enduring. I thrashed around trying to see wherever I was, but the only thing I could see was a stark whiteness as I suddenly felt myself falling. Fast. The last thing I remember before waking up was the feeling of every bone in my body being crushed.
I gasp, almost immediately regretting it due to the intense fiery irritation that settles inside of them. Wheezes escape my lips as I desperately attempt to pull oxygen into my nearly deflated lungs. My head is pounding and I wince, forcing my eyes shut. Taking deep breathes I try my best to push the pain away as I hesitantly open my eyes.
Looking around I can tell that I'm in unfamiliar territory, the ground beneath me is covered in a thinning layer of brown grass. I attempt to stand up but find it almost impossible as my knees buckle underneath my weight. Collapsing back to the ground I begin to notice more things. I'm in an open field, bare trees lining it forming a perimeter.
Deep breaths, I instruct myself preparing for my second attempt of standing up. I push my hands against the ground and slowly plant my feet on the dying grass. Suddenly my chest aches, buts it's not one of those physical aches. A bright light shines through the tattered and torn garments that I'm wearing, erupting from my core. I cry in pain as the fiery sensation now shoots throughout my entire form. The light dims but the agonising ache remains, that's not good.

My body is still not used to the intensified gravitational pull of this realm. I'm not even aware of what realm I'm in, my bare feet trudge down a path, which is no longer grass but a black and tough surface. My body aches, I should have healed by now. Looking to the sky I see nothing but darkness and splatters of light, its no longer daytime, I need to return to my home. A distant and alien noise stops me in my tracks, a little while down the path that I've been walking on, two yellow beams approach me.
The lights suddenly are a few yards away from me, a loud slamming noise makes me jump, a figure appears but I cannot see their features only a dark silouhuette. "Hello?" they call, most definitely female, "Are you alright? Do you need a ride somewhere?" the girl questions, her voice sounding fuzzy as my vision fades, dark spots form in front of my eyes. The next thing I know is I'm plunging into darkness.

"I don't know, I just found her. I was driving into town and she was standing in the middle of the street." I hear that same dainty voice. My eyes flutter open and I notice a girl, brunette curly locks fall down from her head. Here eyes are full of worry and I can feel her emotions, making the air around me thicker. Her gaze meets mine and she sighs in relief, "She's awake."
"Alright, well we have to take her into the clinic, she has a few broken bones and needs some stitches." an umfamiliar, deep and raspt voice informs the blonde. She looks almost distraught at the mention of me being taken away from her, to be honest I feel the same way. Despite the fact that I have no recollection or memory of where I am or who she is, I'd rather much stay in her company.
"N-no." I say but it comes out almost inaudible. The girl looks at me confused, "I-I'm fine." A groan emits from my lips as my chest throbs.
"Ma'am you need medical attention." the man persuades but I shake my head violently, regretting it once my head starts hurting as well. Why am I not healed? What is happening? Without giving the man nor girl another chance to speak I roll off of the bed that I was placed on and stand up slowly, limping away from where they were standing, a look of shock present on both their faces.
"Hey, wait up!" I hear that sweet-sounding voice call after me, but I ignore it as I stumble forward, but before I can make it a few yards, I feel my legs give in and I blackout.

"Yeahtheflight was alright, just incredibly long. No I'm not there yet but I'll be there in about half an hour. Mhmm. Ok bye mum, love you too", after the beep sounded , indicating the call had ended I throw my phone into the passenger seat of my new , but extremely old car. The flight from Dublin to this small county that is Ivory Hills took forever. But at least I'm finally here.
I started to take in my surroundings , all though it is quite dark I can make out a couple of things. Right now I am driving down a small country road which reminds me a lot of home.
Looking forward again , I notice a thin figure walking into the middle of the road ahead. Furrowing my eyebrows I'm confused. "What on earth?".
As I get closer , I can make out that it's a female. She is wearing this silky white dress that comes to about her knees. But it looks pretty dirty and torn up.
Stopping the car and hurriedly taking my seatbelt off I step out. "Hello?", I call out to her. Please don't be a crazy woman .. Please don't be a crazy woman. "Are you alright? Do you need a ride somewhere?", I ask.
Suddenly she falls to the ground and I yelp in suprise before running to her. I kneel down beside her and check her pulse. It's faint but is there.
The girl is about my age , maybe a year or so older. With fair hair and complexion. Pretty.
I grab under her arms and pull her up , before walking as fast as I can towards my car.
-
"How do you know her? Do you know what happened?", the doctor asks me.
As soon as I arrived at the local A&E , I was whisked away with the girl to a small room that had an uncomfortable looking bed in a corner and a doctors desk across from it.
"I don't know, I just found her. I was driving into town and she was standing in the middle of the street." I explain , looking at the poor girl with concern.
She looks pretty beaten up.
Suddenly her eyes flutter before slowly opening , presenting two very blue beautiful orbs. I sigh. What a relief. "She's awake", I exclaim.
"Alright, well we have to take her into the clinic, she has a few broken bones and needs some stitches." Doctor Roberts tells me in his raspy Australian drawl. Frowning slightly , I feel reluctant. I'm not sure what it is , but I've got a feeling in the pit of my stomach that I shouldn't leave her.
"N-no", the girl suprises me by saying. An American? Why is she in Australia?. Well I suppose I'm no better , I am Irish.
"Ma'am you need medical attention", Roberts persuades. But I can tell by the look in her eye she's not going to give in. Shaking her head aggressively she stands up shocking both the doctor and I. I was pretty sure that her leg was broken.
I follow slowly behind her as she makes her way out of the building. "Hey , wait up!", I yell as I jog towards her. She begins to fall before I grab her by the shoulders.
Her shoulder blades have two large burns on them. "Looks like your coming home with me".
