Imagine: You pick up Thor's hammer when no one else could

It was your ordinary friday night at the Avengers tower. Natasha, Wanda, and I were sitting on the couch watching as the boys were fighting over who could pick up Mjölnir, Thor's hammer.

"I'm not one to brag, but I could lift that thing like it was an inflatable balloon," Tony says matter-of-factly.

"Yeah, right, Tony," Steve says from across the table.

"Oh please. Like you could lift it, Barbie. Wait, don't try it. You might rub off your spray tan."

"You guys stop fighting. You're starting to sound more like girls than we are," Natasha snapped.

Just then, Thor walked in with Bruce. "I bring the frozen milk snack!" Thor says holding up a plastic bag in one hand, his hammer in the other.

"You really let him go in the store with that?" I ask Bruce.

"He made me wait in the vehicle," Thor says sadly.

"Oh boo hoo," Tony mocks. "Thor let me see your hammer."

"You are not worthy to wield it," Thor says placing the hammer on the floor.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever," Tony gets up and walks over to the hammer. He plants both feet firmly on the ground and wraps his hands around the hammer. With all his might, he tries to lift the hammer with no success.

Steve laughs. "You try, Ken," Tony snarls as he sits down back on the couch. Steve gets up and grabs the hammer. His muscles bulge as he pulls. The hammer doesn't move.

"Alright, who's next?" Thor asks, sitting down with his bowl of ice cream. Clint tries next, then Vision. Bucky attempts to lift the hammer. Even Wanda and Nat tried. The hammer doesn't budge.

"Y/n, your turn," Tony says. Everyone has gone but me.

"Oh, no. I don't think I'll be able to."

"None of us were able to. It's just funny to watch you try."

I sigh and walk over to the hammer. I take the leather handle in my hand. Closing my eyes, I pull expecting the hammer to stick. I open my eyes to see the hammer in my hands. I gasp.

Everyone's eyes are on me. Thor's mouth drops to the ground.

I chuckle. "Would you look at that. Turns out I am worthy."
