Bismillahi Rrahmaan Rraheem.

5 October 2018.

Seeing how us, the Muslim females have no interest in observing the required Hijab to which Allah personally ordered His Messenger to personally order "US", I mean 'us', you and I to cover ourselves. (Suratul Ahzaab)

Unfortunately, the only thing that interests us is to cover our bodies' skin and hair with a piece of cloth. End of story. Whether it's tight or not, covers our arms or not, transparent or not. Nobody cares.

The need to remind my own soul and my sisters in Islam is what inspired this poem.
I relied on the ummah.com, the online Muslim community on their article 7 Requirements of women's hijab in accordance with the Quran.

I just finished writing it now and SubhanaLlah it is indeed a heart to heart message.

"O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful." [Ahzaab 59]

O my dear sisters, let's wear the Hijab
Let's come together and obey our Rabb
Let's strive to do it as it was taught by Rasul
Cause trust me his fashion is way too cool.

First in the list, is the hijab's EXTENT ,
Covering the whole body leaving no trace of adornment,
Sisters, it has to be a DRESS that covers entirely,
Except that which has been excluded by Sharia specifically.

The dress should be OPAQUE, nowhere close to transparent,
Sister, know that Allah curses clothings that are scant,
See-me-through is definitely not appealed,
As it reveals more than that which stays concealed.

Al-Qurtubi reports that a bride came to see A'isha رضي الله عنها wearing a sheer, transparent khimaar, whereupon 'Aishah (ra) said: "A woman who wears such clothing does not believe in Soorat An-Nur."

Thirdly, O loved one, please make your hijab LOOSE,
You definitely don't wish to fall under those who cruise*,
Think of the men whose hearts are full of disease,
Tight clothes are harmful just avoid them, please.
(WordWeb: cruise - look for a sexual partner in public)

In revealing the skeleton, what's the point tell me,
Last time I checked I am not a teacher of anatomy,
Allah ordered me to bring down my garment,
And that makes looseness one of my adored requirement.

Hijaab is all about AVOIDING ATTENTION,
Doing one's best in staying far from attraction,
Habibty, you are, a servant of The Almighty,
So be keen on pleasing Him and conceal your beauty,

Habibty darling Just DON'T wear makeup,
After all, we all notice how men's eyes are always UP,
Kohl, eyeliner, lipstick and foundation,
For your loved husband keep them as reservation,

In picking your hijab, use each of your five senses,
Observe the color, demeanor and appearances,
The eye to warn you when you are going too bright,
When it's too light or when it's too tight,

The ear, to notify on any unwanted sound
As Allah forbade from stamping feet on the ground,
For what's hidden inside, such an act reveals,
So dear, keep in mind hijab is not equal to high heels.

The skin, to feel the material and fabric,
As mentioned before we totally need something thick,
The nose to be on guard on any strong perfume,
'No one's going to smell it', that is risky to assume,

For if one man is attracted then it equates to committing adultery,
If you had been doing so then, in repentance you must hurry,
And so long as your intentions are true,
Allah will make ibaadah easy for you,

Imam Adh-Dhahabi says in his book Kitab Al-Kaba'ir (The Book of Major Sins): "Amongst the deeds which a woman is cursed for are displaying the adornments she wears, wearing perfume when she goes out, and wearing colorful clothes..."

And the tongue, with which one speaks,
Through it Allah's pleasure a female believer seeks,
She struggles in Obeying His command,
Doing all she can not to attract a diseased man,

O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women; if you fear (Allah), then do not be too pleasent of speech, lest one in whose heart is a disease should feel desire (for you)." [Al-Ahzab, 33:32]

It's a desire yes, but be strong and fight,
Cause' sweetheart, we shouldn't attract a non-mahram's sight,
Hijab includes staying away from glitters,
Plain but beautiful isn't so hard sisters,

Let our hijabs be free of bold decorations,
So as to live in a zone free of all temptations,
Let's fight our souls and do the obligation,
Just like it was ordered and not with alteration,

One more thing, Allah requires,
Our clothing must NOT RESEMBLE MEN'S attires,
Doing so would invite Allah's curse,
And the prophet declares, 'you're not among us',

To copy men's styles is a grave sin,
Not just in fabric, but entire clothing,
Manner of speaking or style of walking,
Doing that all displeases our King,

Next, from disbelievers, DISPLAY DISSIMILARITY,
Our Messenger ordered that with full clarity,
That stands as an important requirement,
To NEVER EVER copy any Kuffar's garment,

Last one on the list,
Though definitely not important the least,
Don't dress to show off nor for
ostentation,
Avoid expenses designed to gain admiration,

Ibn U'mar reports from the Prophet of this nation,
That whoever dresses for ostentation,
Allah will dress him in a dress of humiliation,
On the final day of Resurrection,

AND SET IT ON FIRE.
Cause that's the punishment of riyaa,
[Abu Dawud]'s Hadith is clear,
It's up to us to learn from it, dear,

To all the sisters who observe correct hijaab,
In entering Jannah may it be your asbaab,
You are truly blessed by Allah,
And for that we say, Alhamdulillah,

May Allah grant you all thabat,
In that great ibaadah, may you be steadfast,
May you always observe hijab free of any flaws,
Till the day of your death, as you enter your graves,

And those, who are honestly struggling,
In pleasing Allah, they keep on trying and failing,
May Allah ease the Hijab for you,
May He grant you this neemah, He only gives to few,

Never give up on this sacred road,
Don't tire on your journey to your Lord,
Because at the end awaits true happiness,
The most desired gift; Allah's Paradise.
