I Wanted To Write A Poem 📜

I wanted to write a poem,
A poem of lamentation;
To express my grief and sorrows,
To show my pain and fears,
I wanted to use figures of speech;
To decorate my horrific thoughts,
And present them in words.

I wanted to write a poem;
To accuse the education system
of teaching irrelevant things,
To curse the corrupt government
That have woefully failed,
A poem to yell at the universe
For letting mothers cry,
And not listening when they
prayed.

I wanted to write a poem...

But I can't,
For I am lying in a pool of my own blood,
A bloody knife fastened to my stomach,
My suicide note lying sweetly
beside me,
With only 3 seconds to live.
