Life has it's many ways of turning out for some people. No matter the choices you make. No matter the decisions.

I'm Ash Zelter and this is my story.

"Aw dammit. The Colonel never gonna let us out of here is he?," says Ed looking forward.

"Well....," I cross both my arms behind my head and close my eyes.

"We already bought our tickets for Loire too. Does this mean we're not going?," questions Al.

Edward gets up, "I don't know Al. For now, let's just get this over with. Kay."

I nod and look down to where we're going to. Al looks at Edward and says, Lead the way, Brother."

"Alright then. Let's do this," I smile and jump down onto the floor. Ed and Al do the same and we start walking. Walking, I hear the pained shouts coming from the men trying to stop the Freezing Alchemist. I started getting worried about the men up ahead, so I thought about running. But Ed, knowing what I was thinking, took hold of my hand. When I look back at him, he shook his head. I sigh, letting go of his hand and continue walking at a slow pace like Ed and Al.

"How about Al and I get him from behind and you get him from the front?," I strategize while walking.

"Sounds good. Go now," Al and I nod and take an alley way towards the man. As we get closer to the man, we see Ed use Alchemy to create a spear to throw to the man. He misses.

"What a nasty thing to do," says Ed when we reach the Freezing Alchemist.

"You of all people should know great deeds require great sacrifice. Isn't that the law of equivalent exchange?," the Freezing Alchemist bites back.

This gets Ed slightly mad, "Save your breath. The Laws of Alchemy don't justify murder!" Ed claps his hands together and grabs the spear from the ground and transforms it into a different weapon with a face on the end of it. Oh god Ed.

"No transmutation circle..," says the man impressed with wide eyes.

"Al c'mon," I motion Al with me. We start walking towards the man silently. When Ed sees us, he nods.

"Don't be impressed. Now!"

Al pulls the man back while I jump up and try to kick his head. Al misses his hit and so does Ed. And because the man bends down and dodges the attack with hands, I land on Ed's weapon. So when the man pushed against the weapon, I go flying of towards the wall and crash. "Dammit!"

Al tries to stop him from running, but fails as the man kicks him. He falls back and Ed goes in for an attack, but misses. The man tries to use Alchemy on Ed, but gets him on his automail arm. The man, not knowing yet, rolls over to our side.

"What?," he looks at Ed and sees his alchemy failed. Al goes in for a hit on his head, but gets flipped over by the man. I sigh and jump off the wall and stand beside Ed and Al.

"No! I had you. Any water there should've boiled."

"If it's any constellation, you did ruin my coat," Ed raises his arm and shows the man the automail, glistening in the moonlight.

"An automail arm...."

"No really?," I say with sarcasm. Al giggles silently while Ed takes his coat off. His coat lands on me and covers my whole body. "I'm surprised this big coat fits on someone as small as you," I say muffled. I remove the coat and throw it behind me.

He flinches with anger, but forgets about it quickly. He stands straight and looks at the Freezing Alchemist, who is examining his arm.

"A young, gifted Alchemist. One who doesn't use transmutation circles. And who has an automail arm. I know you. You are the Fullmetal Alchemist Edward Elric," he points to Al. "So it's not you?"
