The next day, you were cleaning your room, when a knock on your door was heard.

"come in", you ushered and the door slowly opened, yet you still weren't looking behind you.

"you seem fine", a familiar voice reached your ear making you quickly turn your head with a smile. "Ryuji-kun, what brings you here? I should've known it was you when I could hear the clank of your slippers", you giggled at the end of your words.

"you should stop having a yokai as a familiar and guardian", he said in a serious tone. You only look at him with still a smile, "I don't really care what you think about yokai, Ryuji-kun", you turned back around and put your things in the cupboard.

He groaned and slammed his hand near your head, cornering you in between, right infront of your closet. His face was inches away from you.

You stare at him before flicking his forehead, "baka, I trust the yokais more than you Ryuji-kun". Those words you said simply ticked him off even more. His brows were twitching and his body was feeling hot due to his anger rising.

You continued to look at his reaction, before giggling and pinching his cheek, "still hot temper as usual". His hard glare on you softens, "and you're still stubborn as usual, (name)", he pulled away giving you space that you wanted.

You sat on your cushion on the ground with a bright smile, "so tell me Ryuji-kun, what brings you here today?". He cocked an eyebrow before joining to seat infront of you, "well I'm here to update you about your other shrine in Kyoto", he said in a straight voice as he took a seat infront of you.

Tilting your head at his statement, you decide to questioned him, "you know you could've just text me, right? It's really far for you to just come here", you pondered.

He cleared his throat, "so you don't want me here, is that what you're trying to say?". You couldn't help but laughed at his remark, "baka, aren't you tired? It is far from here, are you staying here for the night?". "way to avoid my question", he muttered under his breath, then he cleared his throat again, "if you don't mind, I can stay at this shrine. Have you gathered people already? For tomorrow?".

You simply shrugged your shoulder, "honestly I don't know, but sure you can stay here, I'll ask Tsubaki to prepare for your night essentials".

Then you received a notification from your phone, making you checked your phone before smiling, "I have to go, I need to do some grocery shopping with my friend", you got up while you said that making him looking up at you.

"but, I just came he-".

"let's talk later okay? Oh and don't you dare hurt or kill my familiars, or I will ignore you for the rest of my life", you smiled sweetly before taking your bag and skipped out of your room, meeting both Tsuoki and Tsubaki.

"I'm heading to grocery shopping okay? And don't worry~ my friend is with me....ah, annddd please take care of this shrine while you're at it", you waved goodbye to the twins before skipping away again.

As you got down the mountain while humming a song, you finally met up with Rikuo, the shy human Rikuo.

"good morning Rikuo-kun", you smiled sweetly at him and he couldn't help but stare at your cute smile as he too returned the gesture, "good morning (name)-chan, shall we go?".

"yeap!", you beamed, "so umm... thank you for coming with me Rikuo-kun, I really do appreciate it", you smiled softly up at him, making him stare again. He shook his head with a bright smile, "it's fine, I can help you anytime".

Then it was silent, for him it was an awkward silence but for you it wasn't since you were looking around at the beautiful village.

"y'know... this place is really pretty", you murmured, breaking the silence, and yet he awkwardly replied with a sweatdropped, "I bet your place is much more beautiful". You turned your head to look at him with a smile, "you should visit there, Rikuo-kun, it's pretty there too!", you exclaimed with a wide grin on your face.

He let out a relieved sigh, "(name)-chan, actually I'm curious about something".

"ask away, Rikuo-kun".

He cleared his throat while scratching the back of his neck, "umm, well... how exactly did you know that I was... well y'know.. three-quarter human and one-quarter yokai". Hearing the question, you pressed your lips together forming a straight line before shrugging your shoulders, "I just know, I guess".

He frowned in confusion after hearing your answer, "h-how..wait.... What exactly are you, (name)-chan?".

Again, you shrugged your shoulders, "I'm.....not sure actually..... I found out that I have this power while I was a 5 years old kid, my bullies push me off while I was playing at the playground, right above the slide. My head was bleeding severely and the bullies quickly flee, hahahaha.... After crying for who knows how long the bleeding on my head stopped and there weren't even a cut to begin with, at first I thought I had some sort of super powers like flying", you giggled at your own words, "so I tried jumping.... And of course I fell on the ground, without even flying..... so I informed my mom about it and she wasn't that surprised, why? Because she told me that one of my ancestors had this healing ability, it only passed down on a daughter, she said".

He looked awe-struck after hearing your story, "who in their right mind would push you off of a slide and left you like that?". You giggled while shaking your head, "kids, they thought it's fun".

"so.... Your parents stayed in Kyoto, right? Do you have siblings?", he continued asking you question, not being as awkward as before. You smiled sadly, "well I had once".

"had...once..", he continued and slowly his facade changed into worrisome, "I-I'm sorry.... I didn't know it was a sad matter-". "no, it's okay Rikuo-kun", you smiled softly while staring at the ground as you walked. "umm.... Do you wanna talk about it?", he looked at you, eyeing you carefully.

"I want to, that is... if you're willing to listen", you said softly.

He smiled comfortingly at you, so you take that as a yes.

"that was when I was around the age of 7 when I had a new baby sister, she was so cute, she has mom's hair colour and her eyes has the same colour as mine, when my baby sister reached the age of 4 months, she was still as weak as before so since I knew that I had healing powers I tried to help her by healing her, my grandma had thought me how.......after the nurse knew what I was doing, what she thought I was doing, she prevents me to enter the room again and just told me to watch from outside and there I watched helplessly as I found out my baby sister has an infection in her lungs which had already spread to her brain.... I helplessly watched my baby sister's dying breath as she finally left the world........", you finished your story with a breath that you didn't know you were holding.

Rikuo lightly touched your hand, "I'm very sorry for your loss (name)-chan". In return, you gently squeezed his hand, "don't worry Rikuo-kun".
