Chapter 17

"say....how have you been doing in Kyoto (name)-chan?", he looked at you with the corner of his eye as a ghostly smile appeared on his lips. "it was really fun ~ I get to spend time with my father". He raise an eyebrow at that, "so how's he doing actually? I heard he got into some sort of accident in Kyoto", he stated.

You nodded your head as a response before replying, "I was told that father fell down the stairs and broke his neck and leg... but he's fine right now since I healed him", you smiled sweetly at the end, where as Rikuo never missing a time to only look at you, "I'm glad he's fine", he placed his hand into his pocket in his black yukata.

Then you shifted your gaze from the ground to look at him, "how about you Rikuo-kun, how were you doing during this week?". He chuckled lightly, "I'm sure you've heard the event that took place in our school during Kana'chan's birthday". You nodded your head with a small concern look, "yes.... I feel bad for her, so I visited her this afternoon and she seemed to be oddly fine...I wonder what happened".

Hearing what you said, he sweatdropped, "anyway (name)-chan, do you have anything to work on tonight? Or some event maybe?", he asked. You cocked an eyebrow before shaking your head, "I'm free for tonight, what's wrong, Rikuo-kun?". The glint in his eyes changed, as his lips formed into a small smirk, before he swiftly held your arm and disappeared along with you.

Then the two of you arrived at a yokai hang out, but to Rikuo's annoyance, other yokais wanted to flock around you due to the strong scent your emanating. Rikuo glared at every single yokai who tried to laid their hands on you. To you, it looks like a club, for yokai.

When the two of you finally had a seat, different yokai tried to get closer to you, but Rikuo tried his best to glare off anyone who wishes to.

"Rikuo-sama, is she your friend?"

"Rikuo-sama, she smells nice".

"Rikuo-sama is she human?".

"what a weird yokai she is, Rikuo-sama".

Rikuo just smirked his ass off as he wrapped an arm around your waist, while the other small yokai wanted to get to know you, it was a very long night, to the point you could sense that Tsuoki was giving out some sort of aura that fills the whole Ukiyoe Town. When Rikuo sense it, he took that as a cue to return you back to your shrine.

He piggybacked the sleepy you while a small smile was playing on his lips, "did you have a fun tonight, (name)-chan?", he asked with a small voice so only you could hear. Hearing his question, you hummed softly before murmuring a small yet hearable 'yes'. "I'm glad you had fun (name)-chan".

Then it was a long silence for about 7 minutes.

He decided to start another conversation.

"actually.....I've been meaning to tell you this for a while now, but I just couldn't find the right time.....", he looked down while still walking and still carrying you in a piggyback manner.

"I didn't even had the guts to tell you when I'm in my human form... to be honest I really get jealous everytime I see Tsuoki-kun hanging out with you.... Eventhough I very well know that he's your familiar and protector and all that, but I hope you will understand my feelings (name)-chan", his voice was very serious, but one thing spoiled his seriousness.

"ZZzzz..."

Yes, you were sleeping on his back.

He chuckled and shook his head in disbelief, "so cute....".

"oh? You're back Yamazakura-kun!", Kiyotsugu grinned ear to ear when he spotted you together with Tsuoki. "Ohayou(good morning) Kiyotsugu-kun", you smiled sweetly. Hearing your voice the other orange haired male peeked and had a blush on his face, "(name)-chan you're back!". "Ohayou Shima-kun", you giggled. Rikuo whom had just sat down on his seat after putting his bag and books, smiled up at you.

"tadaima", you grinned and the whole class gasped in surprised before they greeted you.
