Chips. Most likely the best snack that money can buy.

Y/N shoved another hand full of Lays Salt And Vinger chips into her mouth, wiping the grease from the food onto the brown couch, leaving streaks that were slightly darker than the rest of the leather.  As she munched loudly, her hands flew across her keyboard, desperately trying to escape the attacks of an IceCap. Her health slowly ticked down until the small red heart was the only thing on the screen. Her hands clenched as she groaned.

"Come on!" She yelled, her head leaning back on the arm of the couch, "This was a mistake...." She drew out the word like a child whining about not getting her favored chocolate bar at the store.  Earlier, she had reset her progress and the brilliant idea of naming her character 'Frisk' popped into her head. She was fully aware of the harshness it brought along with it, but she thought she could do it. Clearly, she was wrong.

With an annoyed sigh, she sat back up, moving her sprite through the pixilated town that was Snowdin. As Y/N came up to a turn in the path, she knew Sans was on the other side. Deciding to delay her inevitable death, she made the curve and headed toward where his sprite should be.

Her finger slipped off the keys at what she saw, causing Frisk to jerk on screen. His sprite was gone. And not gone as in it wasn't there anymore, gone as in it was replaced.

Standing in sans's spot was a menacing black glitch. It looked like a tear in the game itself. It constantly shifted, growing and shrinking at an unpredictable pace.

Her stomach dropped at the sight of it. She wasn't one for scary games, solely because of the interactive aspect of it. She could watch any horror movie there was, but not games.

She didn't know why this glitch was so frightening to her. Maybe it was because it was unexpected? She knew every detail about Undertale and its AUs, so to have something change makes her... uncomfortable.

Against her better judgment, she pressed 'Z' to interact with the glitch. She bit her lip in anticipation; if there was more for her to know about the game she was willing to learn it. If only that was her mindset in school...

Her hands ripped the earbuds out of her ears as a cacophony of sound exploded out of them. Her now wide eyes stared at the screen- more specifically the text box.

Glitched wording made its way across the screen. It passed over the text box borders and seemed to go out of the laptop itself. Y/N tried to see if there was any words or letters hidden in the message, but couldn't find anything except for gibberish and some symbols she didn't recognize.

Clearly spooked, she forced a shut down on her laptop, hoping that would help. She shrugged, deciding that it was just a glitch with the game and nothing more.

"Dang..." She muttered, picking up her headphones and placing them back in her ears.  Y/N had a habit of talking aloud to herself when she was alone. She tried to stop but couldn't seem to hold back the comments. "I haven't seen the game glitch like that in a while." Sure the game would freeze or text wouldn't pop up, but that was usually because her computer sucked.

She grunted as she stretched her arms over the gap between the couch and the coffee table, grabbing her phone from the hardwood surface. Using her greasy fingers, she opened her phone and inputted the password: 091515; the date undertale was released. She wouldn't admit it, but she had an obsession.

After successfully coating her phone screen with greased fingerprints, her laptop flashed on, showcasing her desktop picture. It was an image she had found on google of the whole undertale crew: Toriel, Sans, Papyrus, Undyne, Alphys, Mettaton, Asgore, and Frisk. It had to be her favorite picture.
