This takes place in the lightning thief after the quest but before Luke tries to kill Percy.

--With Annabeth--

I'm sitting on the step to my cabin pretending to read a book. I'm really thinking about when Percy and I were on that love ride trap, the tunnel of love. When he told me to come with him I was so embarrassed. I mean is he so oblivious that he didn't think twice about it; or he didn't think twice about it because he knew what he was doing. Then he almost messes with the love magic scarf. If I hadn't stopped him then he would have fallen in love with the next girl he saw and that would have been me. That would have been embarrassing, not because I like him or anything but because nobody at camp would ever let me forget it. My train of thought is interrupted my someone saying "You have something on your mind Annie? You haven't turned the page for five minutes." It's Luke, he's the only one that calls me Annie. "Maybe, what do you care?" I say just a little rudely. I mean he hasn't spoken to me since we got back from the quest; he's like my big brother and he suddenly isn't there for me. "Aw, Annie, I'm sorry" Luke says with a grin. "Will a walk in the woods make up for it?" He knows me so well; I can't say no. I settle for a whatever but get up anyway. Luke leads me to a shady clearing, we sit on a rock and talk about life before we got to camp half blood. Luke tells me about his plans for the future. He says he's leaving. Wait what? "Luke you can't leave! What am I going to do without you?" I turn and look at him with puppy dog eyes. "Oh Annie" he says ruffling my hair "I know I'm your only family from before but it's a big world out there kiddo, you only saw a little bit of it on your quest. I need to get out this place and see some of it. You know, I could always use a sidekick out there. It would be just like old times." He is killing me right now. "Luke, I want to go with you, of course I do. But we have a family here, we have friends, a better life than one on the run." "Chill Annie, I just meant for the school year." For some reason his eyes darken as he says it. "Oh" I say slightly embarrassed at my outburst. "Come on." Luke says pulling me up "I wanna get some practice in before we leave. Besides you'll want to get back to your boyfriend." I pull my arm away and say " I don't like Percy! He's just my friend!" "Who said anything about Percy?" Luke asks taking back my hand "Annie and Percy sitting in a tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g, first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in a baby carriage." I elbow Luke in the side. He stops my elbow and says in a solemn voice "I'm gonna miss you Annie, never forget that I love you, you're my little sister." "Never." I respond. "Now go on, finish packing, you're gonna have a great time with your dad don't worry about it." "I won't worry Luke, I know that if anything ever happens I would be able to come to you right?" Luke has tears in his eyes when he says "Of course Annie."

A/N

So I just finished writing this and I am like crying. You are probably asking whether or not Luke is being sincere or not but I'm going to leave that up to you to decide. Just keep in mind that Luke and Annabeth had known each other for five or six years and have gone through a lot together. Sorry it's so short!
