Chapter 3

POV Alicia

“Playing?” we turn to see a guy with a clipboard with a super unamused face. “It's play or get off the stage, if you want to wait around and do nothing-”

“We can play,” Dameon cuts in. I look at him and raise a brow.

“We are actually doing this?”

“Well we are now,” marli signs as the lights dim a little, the stage guy must be setting up for our ‘show’. Marlow let out a huge sigh. I look at the stage, drums, keyboard, guitar and mic, we can do this. The stage has multiple levels, each with its own thing, the lowest is mic and guitar, second is keyboard, third is drum, and fourth is empty.

“Come on demon,” I grab the guitar off the stands. “You got us into this, let’s get this over with and get back to the guild.”

Everyone goes quiet as the lights dim to spotlights, dameon moves to the keyboard and marli takes drums. I grab a headset rather than the stand mic so I can strum the guitar.

“What? Is this some kind of joke?” someone in the crowd laughs, I can’t trace the voice to a mouth with so many people though. “The mute girl is in a band? Hilarious!” the whole crowd laughs. I feel marli smirk as I she ticks off the beat with her drumsticks. Dameon chimes in with the keys and the crowd goes silent. On cue the drums join in, the crowd oohs, and several “wows” were heard. The strum the guitar and start the song.

“Every mom says baby be careful of, all of the boys who'll hurt you and let go, because love is like playing with fire,” my arms erupt in flames, but only from my elbows to shoulders so I don't burn the guitar on mistake. “You're bound to get hurt, and,” I pop my shoulders and keep strumming. “Even if it's true I just can't control love, and when I look at you my heart beats fast I burn up,” the individual circles on stage start turning, so the mic, keyboard, and drums are suddenly all spinning separately. “This is bad but this is how I really feel I want your love and,” I move around the stage, moving to the beat and popping my shoulders as I continue to play the guitar. “I can't stop the way you make me feel, on and on and on, let us be together you and me let me into your world,” I hop up a level to dameon, who’s bouncing along to the beat. “Look at me look at me now, burning like a fire I burn when you're around,” he's spinning so I lean against him back to back for the audience to see. “Because of you we play with fire and burn down!” the audience starts to cheer, our other teams are egging everyone on, they are probably trying to start a rave or something sketchy like that. “My love is on fire, now burn baby burn, well burn down!” I jump off down to my level, glancing up at my team. Dameon´s arms are up in flames now, marli’s charm bracelet is glowing which means she's charging one of her charms, each charm holds a spell. “My love is on fire!” I lean forward slightly as my grip on the guitar increases. “So don't play with me boy, well burn down,” I jump up a level again. “Oh no i'm in too deep in trapped inside your world,” I jump up again to marli’s level, she’s charging her fire charm, she closes her eyes and a ball of fire shoots out to dameon as his table turns to face us. He catches the fire in his mouth and eats it, the energy from it flowing between us. “I keep playing but this isn't my game anymore,”  Marli starts to look a little pale but that's expected, she doesn't have much magic energy even on a good day. “Love is like a fire burning,” I hop up to the last level. “Flames are on my mind make them bigger I want it, is it good or is it bad I can't control that I want you,” I feel dameon send out another shot of energy to me. “I've been robbed you took my heart, maybe I told ya?” I jump down as the beat drops. “I poured you all inside my heart it's burning to the rhythm,” marlis charm is already charging again, I go up another level. “Kiss em while I diss em, I don't know but I miss em, I might be burning but I break with a crack!” I hop down as I sing the last word, my fingertips are starting to go numb from my grip but it's barely noticeable. “My heart isn't red now it's black!” I pop my shoulder to the beat again. “I can't stop the way you make me feel, on and on and on, let us be together you and me cause I want this love to burn!” I sort of strut back and forth as I move across my level of the stage. “Look at me look at me now, burning like a fire I burn when you're around, because of you we play with fire and burn down!” the crowd is really cheering now, I move up a level again. “My love is on fire!” I stand next to my twin. “Now burn baby burn, well burn down! My love is on fire! So don't play with me boy, well burn down!”i move up next to marli who is still supplying dameon and in turn, me with fire, man she's really breaking a sweat. As she turns I lay back to back with her. “ I can't control this heat inside, I can't control this fire burning inside me!” I can feel every muscle in her back as she both casts her magic and keep the beat. “Baby let's burn this love up, don't stop me let us burn tonight just you and me!” marli pushes back and jolts me forward, it always surprises me how much energy she has. Another wave of energy fills me and I hop from tier to tier as I make my way to the bottom layer. The music finishes leaving all of us breathing heavily, the crowd cheers. Dameon tugs at my sleeve and motions his head towards a path along the walls to the exit, I nod and put the guitar and headset down, I pull marli under my arm and we all hurry out.

(Ok, so me and bff are total Kpop fans and we love to sing and dance together to the original songs or to the covers by impa, so we just had to add something related to to.
