The van slowed to a stop. A mansion a bit smaller than my father's place appeared about a block up the street. Another black van identical to ours pulled up behind us.
Ace noticed the headlights and knitted his eyebrows together. His gaze flickered to mine.
"It's just Austin," I murmured. Austin, Luis, Abel, and Gabriel were in the other van. Joey and Benny were in the back of our van.
Ace nodded and sighed. "Are you sure, bebita? You don't have to do this."
"I'll be fine," I said. "Hopefully, this works."
Benny chuckled and kneeled between Ace's seat and mine. "Trust me, unless he is gay, it's going to work," Benny said.
Ace rolled his eyes but nodded in agreement. "I don't like this," Ace muttered. "Benny, why can't you hack the code?"
"I've never dealt with that type of alarm system, Ace. I could do it, but god knows how long it would take me. We want to be as fast as we can about this. I still have to set up fucking bombs. So, unless you suddenly know how to blow shit up–"
Ace cut Benny off. "Alright, I get it."
Benny shrugged.
"I just got this feeling like this is going to happen a lot," Ace grumbled. "Let's try not to make a habit out of using my girl as bait."
Joey chuckled. "She's the boss. It's kind of up to her."
"I'm not the boss," I argued.
"You will be," Benny said.
"Let's get it over with," Ace said.
I crawled out of the van and walked over to Ace's side.
Benny stepped forward and clipped a tiny microphone to the inside of my black leather jacket. Benny put an earpiece in my ear that was small. "You'll hear us no matter how far away you are, and we can hear you," Benny said.
I turned to Ace. "Well?"
"Take the rubber band out of your hair," Ace murmured.
I slid the rubber band out and shook my hair out around me. Ace fixed my hair slightly. Ace unzipped my jacket. His hand brushed against my breast while he unbuttoned my blouse. The top of my breasts showed somewhat. Ace's touch gave me goosebumps and made me shiver involuntarily.
Austin, Luis, Abel, and Gabriel came up to us.
"Good?" I asked.
"Mhm," Ace hummed.
I turned around to face the other boys as a second opinion.
Austin grunted. "I take back what I said. This might work after all." Austin looked at Benny. "Not bad, kid."
Benny rolled his eyes. "It's like you guys forget my IQ level or something. I'm not a dumbass."
"Nobody thinks you are dumb, Benny," I said.
"Speak for yourself." Joey guffawed.
I smacked Joey in the chest. "Knock it off."
"I'm just playing, Benny," Joey said.
"Say something to let us know when you get through the gates," Benny said. "We won't see it from here."
