It was a windy afternoon when a little girl was crying under an old tree somewhere in a park because her parents are always away. She couldn't take the loneliness of her emotions any longer and cried her heart out.

Then after some time, a little boy came to her and gave her a hanky. She was shocked at first but gladly took it.

"Why are you crying?" the little boy suddenly asked.

The little girl looked at him with confusion.

"Oh, I'm sorry. My name's Tyler. What's your name?" the little boy smiled.

"Lianne. . ." the little girl said, suddenly smiling a bit.

"Hi, Lianne. Do you have any friends?" asked the little boy named Tyler.

"I have none." Lianne, the little girl said, frowning.

"Well, from now on, I'll be your friend. Best friend." declared Tyler, still smiling,  and took out his hand.

Lianne is now smiling, genuinely smiling at Tyler. For an instance, she felt really happy because, finally. She made a friend.

Best friend, even.

She took Tyler's hand and stood up.

"Okay. I'll be your best friend, too." and the both of them shook hands.
