"Hey, Lianne! wait up!" I was about to walk towards the hallway of lockers when a familiar guy shouted from behind. Tyler, of course. How could I forget his voice? I stopped on my tracks and turned around just to see his smiling face. He slowed down his pace when he was about 5 meters away and jogged towards me.
"Hey, nerd." he greeted me with a tease while putting his left arm around my shoulder. I just rolled my eyes.
"Whatever, jock." I chuckled and elbowed his stomach.
"Ow!" he exclaimed, rubbing the part of his stomach that I elbowed.
"Touche, dude!" I said, clearly laughing my head off. It wasn't that painful, promise! I could tell.
"Whatevs, Lianne." He said, rolling his eyes and waving his right hand. Walking past me.
"Hey, Tyler! wait up!" I shouted from behind when I noticed that he was already climbing up the stairs.
Man, that jock is fast. dammit.
I almost slipped when I was trying to catch up with him! And if ever, I would fall on my butt-which gladly did not happen, I swear to God that Tyler would probably laugh his ass off and tease me non-stop about it.
"Nice one." he said grinning like an idiot.
I just glared at him and punched his arm really hard.
"What the f-mph!" I quickly covered his mouth when he was about to say the cursed word because a teacher just passed by, giving us weird looks and told us to go to our classrooms 'cause classes are about to start.
While we were walking down the hallway, I can't help but still feel a bit awkward because of the stares and glances that people are giving us.
Like, how could he possibly live with this? Yeah, I know that I shoud've got used to this a long time ago because this is what everyday is for Tyler...and I'm a part of that.
"Hey, you're spacing out." Tyler blurted.
"Huh? wait, what?" I was cut off from my thoughts of Tyler's 'popularness'.
I saw him smirk. "I knew it."
"You knew what?" I asked. What is he talking about? I didn't even say anything. "You like that guy, don't you?" He asked with a glint of exasperation and confusion while pouting his lips towards a guy with blonde hair.
Wait, is he jealous or something? "You mean Thompson? Uhm, no..." I answered, not knowing how to feel. Well, I used to have a crush on Blake Thompson when we were still in middle-school, he was, after all, a gorgeous varsity player of the football team until now. But heck, that was before I avowed to myself my feelings towards Tyler. I felt my cheeks heat up.
"You like him." he stated irritably. What....? "Tyler, No. I do not like him." I came to a halt with a frown. He also stopped walking and faced me. "You like him and I can tell." he said a bit too loudly for other students to hear including Blake, turning their heads in our direction.
I glared at him and dragged him beside a locker so that we wouldn't be the center of attention. "Tyler. Look, if I blushed or stared at him, that doesn't mean that I like him." I told him like talking to a child, very calm and gentle with words. What the hell. "Nah, forget it. I think you two look cute together anyways." ouch. Well that dropped a bomb in my chest. Damn it.
I looked into his eyes. His now stormy gray eyes. How did I even get into this!? Urgh. I groaned in annoyance. "Yeah..." I mumbled, I have nothing else to say, okay? It's like my mood quickly downed.
He's okay with me having a crush on Blake and I'm not happy about it. I thought...I thought I made him jealous. I guess I should stop assuming from now on. "Hey, Tyler!" Oh, that irritating high pitched voice. Ugh. Just, gaahh! I hate that girl. I looked at Tyler and then to Miranda.
"Hey, Lianne." she said with a fake smile. I can tell. She'd been a fake ever since. "Hi, Miranda. Going to class?" asked Tyler. "Yes! Can I come along?" she beamed. Fake! For all I know, she's obsessed with Tyler and she'll do anything just to get him.
"Sure. Right, Lianne?" Tyler said with a smile. I hate this. I can't stand this girl. Don't get me wrong, Miranda isn't the kind of girl that dresses like some sluts and puts on make up like a clown, but I don't know... I just don't like her.
She makes my blood boil every time I see her. "Uh..I-I forgot, I still need to borrow some books in the library. You two go along." I said and gave them both a smile. Oh, God. I'm such a bad actress, I'm sure Tyler noticed something but he just let it slip.
So, I made my way to the library and borrowed the books that I needed for English Lit. , Ms Reyes, the school librarian, just let me do my business since I always spend half of my time reading here in the library, and we became friends. Haha, perks of being a nerd, I guess? "Ms Reyes, I'll go to my classes now." i said while giving her a smile. "Sure, dear. Take care." and I went back outside and made my way to the hallway of lockers.
Man, these books are heavy! I am only carrying four books but it's thickness is killing me. "Here, let me help." I gasp in shock when someone suddenly lifted three of the books from my arms. "Uh, hi." he said shyly, giving me a smile. I blushed as a memory suddenly passed my mind. "Hey, Blake." I muttered loud enough for him to hear.
