Andrea flings herself into the sea of 12-14-year-olds, with Ashley and Patty struggling to follow. She has her eyes completely fixed on those gloomy double doors. She then bolts through the entrance, as if her life depends on it, when, suddenly, she comes to a halt. Her mind is blank. "What was... all that... for... Dre?" Patty's out of breath. Ashley joins her by her side, patting her back, "You good?" "... Probably..." Andrea frantically looks about, twisting and turning her head and body, before trotting further into the hallway. On her right, something catches her eye; a trophy case. "Oh, wow." Ashley coos, whilst softly touching the glass. Andrea turns away from the glimmering silver and gold, frustrated. "Hey, wait, Andrea!" Patty is standing next to a picture of a young girl with extremely short, curly hair, "Come look at this! She's got your eyes." Andrea moves over to the photograph, and reads the small, golden words at the bottom of the frame out loud, " Andrea Cooper, a bright & young mind, beloved by all." That face is all too familiar. It's as if... as if... she's shaking now, "N-no way... I'm not... I can't be..." She throws her hands on her head. Patty is looking at the concrete floor, eyes wide, "...You're... Lost?" Ashley is listening now, "She's what?" Rushing over to the girls, she reads the inscription herself. Slowly she comes to the same shocking revelation. "You were a human!?" She gasps, "And you have a second name!" Andrea says nothing. Patty lifts her head up, staring down the hall. This is where Andrea lived. And in this picture... this is how she used to look. She tries to imagine Andrea in her human appearance, traversing the halls, smiling happily. No orange scales, no gills, no fins, with her small, curled locks bouncing as she takes each step. "I'm... sorry, Andrea." She doesn't know what else to say; she's been in the Inbetween her whole life; she's always known Andrea as a normal denizen of the Inbetween as well. Ashley isn't sure either. They exchange nervous looks. "Maybe..." Ashley pauses, "...maybe we should sit down." They collect a distressed Andrea and file into the closest room; it's small, containing wooden tables with bland plastic chairs stacked on top of them. The lights emit a very bright white glow. A little too bright. Ashley sees all of the colorful motivational posters which are plastered all over the walls & lets out a tiny snicker. They each pull down a chair; two blue, & one orange. "...Reminds me of Hallows Eve," Ashley taps the tips of her fingers on the side of the chair, "don't you think so?" Patty screws up her face in confusion, "What are you talking about?" Andrea's eyes are glued to the white tiles of the classroom floor. She pauses for a moment, trying to recall the wonders she'd seen a long time ago. "Well... it's a celebration of sorts... the humans celebrate it." Patty's intrigued, "Really? What do they do?" Ashley stops to think once more. "They dress up... as... well... us?" "...How would they even know about us, Ashley?" "Look, I know you're both very skeptical about this," Andrea is still, "but it's true!" Andrea suddenly jerks her head up, "...I don't care..." putting her sunglasses back on, she swiftly moves out of the room. "...I guess we should follow her." Ashley nods, lifting her chair. "Maybe I shouldn't have talked so much..." Patty gently puts her hand on her shoulder, "I feel like if you hadn't been talking, it would have been much more awkward."
