Michael and Violet go to the same high school. they have music class together, but every time they chat they seem to have nothing in common. when Michael gets invited to a party on friday night, he struggles with his decision to go or not. he decides to go and shows up to the house, then realizes that he doesn't know anyone there. after lots of awkward conversations with people he doesn't know, he sees Violet sitting in another room. as he approaches her they lock eyes, and they seem to hit it off.. until they blow up. Michael and Violet have a disagreement and she blows up on him, making her storm out of the house, and Michael standing in disbelief. as Michael struggles with knowing what to do the next day, he goes out to a local coffee shop. while ordering his drink, he sees Violet drinking coffee and listening to music. startled, he scurries out of the coffee shop and into his car. he drives home, and his mind is way to full with thoughts about her. as Michael continues to see Violet countless times after their fight, he starts to wonder if they're more alike than he thought.
