Shirina Maraday
Quick Tip For Detention: Hook an earbud to your long sleeve and place the bud at your palm. Place your palm with the earbud to your ear and look like you're just bored, the earbud is covered by your hand and the detention teacher probably isn't even paying attention while your blasting Black Veil Brides or whatever shitty music you like.
If you need an explanation to why, the pastel punk who always finds a way to avoid trouble, is in detention, sit the fuck down, shut the fuck up, because it's story time, bitch.
It all started with a small yank on my earbud cords. Which sounds boring, but who gives any fucks when Gerard Way is screaming about bullets to heaven and sodu
Shirina's earbuds, yanked out by this nerd named Spork (no, that's not his actual name. His real name's Micheal but after an incident with said object, this is his legacy. Better than being Shit-Mouth Sullivan or Traumatized Milk Carton, she figured.)
Looking up, the snarky girl faced brunette bitch she had known since diapers. Hissing would've been nice but gum that surprisingly has lasted since 1st period stopped that. Instead, Shirina had to compromise with a "Whadayyawant" which sounded soooo sophisticated.
His face melted to a frown. "Repeat the last thing I said."
"'Repeat the last thing I said.'" the smartass said, like a smartass. "Please give me back my earbuds, you irritating paperclip."
Spork rolled his eyes and sighed before continuing. "We're doing another R.A.O.R."
Shiri tried to look mock-offended, but probably just looked like a disgusted browning peach. "You guy planned on a R. A.O.R without me?!"
Sage , on the far right of our little group, spoke next. "Yo, Lover Girl and Spork what the fuck is a R.A.O.R.?"
"Do not call me lo-!"
"Shh, child." Spork turned to Sage. "R.A.O.R.'s are Random Acts Of Revenge. Way back when, when it was not Spork, Flower F*g, and Martha Stewart but Micheal and Zoë Shirina, the shortest of the group insisted it be Random Acts Of Kindness but that's from a book the whole class read back in 5th grade and most of the shit the small dou-now-group serve isn't very kind.
Sage looked confused, slightly offended, and amazed. It was surprising when they didn't go on a rant about how the universe and gods (or God or Allah or karma. Whatever you believe.) would serve justice themselves but instead, breathing out a couple words with wide eyes. "You bitches of Satan ARE karma."
Don't get the wrong assumption. We all love and hate each other like family, nicknames are just a sign of love. Many our personalized ones include shit tons of profanities and not-very-nice nicknames.
"Hell yeah, we are!" Shi smirked. "Who's the damsel and who's the villain?"
"Villains: The Blondest Circle Of Hell. Damsel: Mayor of Devil Town."
Anna burst into French and Tagalog swearing. All that was comprehendable could get from the Tagalog part was "NEW HERE", "I DON'T UNDERSTAND A THING", and multiple "Fuck you!"'s before going quiet and facepalming. "You mean the Diablo girl." She whispered.
Shi swear she could see a smirk on Anna's face of shame but before she could snap a question or at least a glare, Spork gave a reason of revenge. "Those Heather Heathens called River the unholy F word." Spork tried to formulate the word on his tongue but couldn't. It was like purposely dripping arsenic poison on your held out tongue, seeing the drop form but not pushing the paskaging hard enough to squeeze the contents out. Shi almost walked over to their little group myself and murdered them on the spot.
There was no murder. No chainsaws allowed in school.
Zoë Shirina Maraday, short girl with an innocent resting face walked over and punched the Layla McNara, head of the bitches.
Now kids, violence is never the answer. Never follow in her footsteps, ever. That's a bad idea, folks.
While punching the ever-loving shit out of her, she could here vague screams of "'RI, THAT WASN'T THE PLAN!" and whispers of "Oh my god, did the flower f** just punch Layla?" and something about The Heathers. The Theatre Kids never catch a break. Shirina wanted her to feel pain, what trans kids feel when they use the bathrooms, what aces feel when they walk down a road going home, what bi's, pan's, gay's, lesbians', homo-and-heteroflexers, when they go to their classes and get pulled aside into an empty hall. Most of all, she wanted her to feel River's pain; words translated to fists, amplified by her own anger.
Shi could not give anymore fucks when teachers started pulling the two of us apart, The for,er acting like a cat and hissing at Layla while she held up her phone camera and stared at her smeared lipstick, blood dripping out of her nose. Vague memories came and past trough the scolding of adults and eye rolling and teachers seething with anger, the students getting their message and rushing to get to their next class while some kids just slumped over there or tried discreetly hiding in the bathrooms to skip hell.
There was the usual rest; principal's office, call to home which was answered by no one, a stern talk, trying your best not to eye roll your way through, etc, etc. I got to skip running the mile however, I thought of the poor, unfortunate souls while staring at the clock behind Mr. What's-His-Nuts.

Shi arrived to the other hell I was supposed to call home at 6-ish PM.
Zion was studying for her degree to become a Patrick from The Fault In Our Stars on the living room couch, she had her own apartment on the other side of the city but her roommate was extremely handsy with her "Non-Binary Royalty" (cute, but the said PDA level was higher than Brendon Urie + his vocals). Shirina passed the kitchen, not hungry at fucking all and ran up her stairs into the hall. Her mom's bedroom door was open, she was passed out on her way Queen bed, a bottle of rum next to her lifeless hand. She was breathing, thank gods, but she had hopelessly hoped that the Good Day string would last about 3 days. Mitchell was out and so was Ben and Sam.
'Probably out high already.' Shirina thought, brushing it aside.
Vivi's bedroom door was locked, no sound came out of it except for the few half-loud flips of a book page and furious, confused, muttered French cursing.
Shirina walked to my room, sat on my bed, and unzipped my backpack, half of it's contents spilling out over the childish, mismatched starry and rainbow blankets. Glancing at the math homework, she saw the numbers swimming already. The English homework looked tolerable but Shi did not remember any of it being in today's lesson.
Shirina took a look out the window, River was working on the painting she had in her room for a while. She looked dissatisfied, dedicated and exhausted, if she heard the ear piercing shriek of an ambulance, she didn't show it. After many failed attempts to contact her via yelling out windows, she decided maybe a text was better.
