Once we arrived, we all got out of the truck.

"I'm gonna run home to ma' mama. It was nice to meet you three." Chet said, walking off as the rest of us approached the house.

A man stepped out of the door, and had a conversation with Shawn then turned to Clem, Lee, and I.

"Looks like you've brought a couple of guests." The man said.

"We just need a little help, we won't stay long." Lee explained.

"Good, you're welcome to stay here but just for the night. I don't run a bed and breakfast." The man replied. "So it's just you and your two daughters?"

"Oh not his daughters, he's just some guy who found them alone." Shawn said.

"You two- do you know this man?" The man asked.

"Yes, we do." Clem and I responded in unison.

"Well, looks like you hurt your leg pretty bad there." The man pointed at Lee's leg, which was much bloodier and bruised than I first thought.

"Yeah, it's not doing so good." Lee replied.

"I can help you out. Shawn, run on in and check on your sister. You, take a seat on the porch and I'll go see what we got." The man explained, as the father and son walked into the house.

Lee, Clem, and I stood outside. The man quickly came back and began to help Lee.

"What did you say your name was?" The man asked.

"Lee."

"Well Lee, I'm Hershel Greene." Hershel replied.

"How'd this even happen?" He asked.

"Jumping a fence." Lee lied.

"Running from something?" Hershel doubted him.

"Just like everybody else." Lee responded.

"What type of danger has the girls seen?" Hershel questioned.

"They're safe now." Lee said, glancing at Clem and I.

"So you're serious about taking care of them both then, right?" Hershel responded.

"What choice is there?"

"House is full up with mine. We've got another displaced family of three sleeping in the barn. You and your daughters are welcome to rest there, when we're done here." Hershel suggested, a stoic expression on his face.

He turned to Clementine and I.

"I didn't catch your names, darlings." He said.

"Clem-Clementine." Clem stuttered, I smiled.

"(Y/N)." I replied.

"I can't imagine what you two have been through." Hershel said, turning back to Lee.

"I'm looking after them until I find Clem's parents...possibly (Y/N)'s too." Lee added, as Shawn appeared.

"Hey dad, so I was thinking first thing tomorrow, we gotta reinforce the fence around the farm." He suggested, Hershel sighed.

"That doesn't seem necessary." The three men began to argue in front of Clem and I.

I tuned most of it out, since I was younger and this information didn't affect me.

Soon though, Hershel was done with Lee and the three of us headed into the barn. We set up three little beds on the hay to sleep in. As we all got ready to fall asleep, Clem spoke.

"It smells like.." Lee finished her sentence. "I know what it smells like." He said, I giggled.

"Doo-dee." Clem added, the two of us laughed before Lee told us to sleep and we did.

The next morning was hectic.
